[Donatello sounds far more excited than anyone, including his brothers, have probably heard him sound in a while.]

Confirmed!

Two weeks of less-than-stellar interaction over the network - which, in this case, possibly means instigating a conversation yourself instead of only replying to others - equates to a penalty. A spray of water in this case; ( Read more... )

[Oh my God you huge nerd.] Is that the reason for your radio silence?

Precisely.

Though, admittedly, I probably should have maintained that silence for a while longer. Then I would have known if it sprayed you more than one time or if there were other penalties for ignoring it. Hm.

You pick weird things to harp on, Donnie.

I'd like to think this warrants a description other than "weird". And it's not harping; it's talking out my hypothesis, conclusion, and discoverings in order to more firmly organize my thoughts on the matter.

Organize your thoughts on whether or not these communicators are forcefully introducing people to uppers.

Yes.

[pause and unintelligable murmuring. More shifting of papers. He sounds accomplished when he speaks again.]

Though considering the previous reactions to being sprayed that I've witnessed, I doubt that's the case. It seems that the energy of the responses varies person to person depending on personality and disposition rather than an outside drug.

So it's just water. An obnoxious prank. [He recalls the note behind the poster.]

A prompt more like. I assume the captain wants us to socialize fairly regularly.

But no less obnoxious, no. I guess.

[he doesn't think it's irritating, Leo.]

He wants us to socialize on these, anyway. [Clink clink go the gears in his head.]

It's likely they're easier to monitor.

Well, yeah. [Kage had pretty much already told him the same thing a while ago, at least.]

...maybe we should make the rest of this conversation hard to monitor.

Terrible.

But that's not what I meant anyway. I'm coming to your room.

I know, I just wanted to see your encryptions.

Door's unlocked.

[and Donatello's hanging cross legged in the middle of the floor, communicator on his lap surrounded by shiefs of paper and make-shift tools]

[Why, yes, it does appear he had tried to take his communicator apart with the jaws of life. And failed.]

You're a brat. [Leo shuts the door behind himself and clears some space before sitting across from him. He wanted to tell Don to lock his door, but then he wouldn't be able to bust in abruptly if something happened to him...

Damn. Choices.] Giving up on the caves?

Not at all. This just takes priority at the moment.

[he waves his communicator a little]

Besides, I need to find out a way to accurately measure the depth first - and figure out a way to avoid any fish that may take interest - before I can go any farther with that.
