Alanna watched Coram and Hakim Fahrar ride away, their pack horse trailing behind. Fingering the ember at her throat, she blinked her suddenly watery eyes. Picking up Faithful, she entered her tent and for the first time in four weeks, began to write.

After getting back from the gym, Alanna finally put some food out for Faithful and began to write a letter while doing her best not to fall asleep in the middle of it.

Alanna came back to her room, tired and in no mood for suprises but found one on her desk. Upon closer inspection, it wasn't one, it was quite a few packages, wrapped up in papper so as to conceal their contents. Alanna wobbled back into her room. The burns on her arms where already feeling much better, but the three hours of sleep from the night before were beginning to catch up to her. Two notes await Alanna near the candle when she returns back to her room. Still bouncy and hyper from the coffee she nearly rips them in her haste to read.

Alanna came into her room, rolling her stiff shoulder. She dumped her books and notes on her bed and was about to head back out, when a letter caught her eye.
