ANGIE AND KRYSTAL I'M TAGGING THIS IN CLASS JUST FOR YOU TWO ♥ mayovice October 20 2009, 06:26:56 UTC
It was safe to say that without a doubt, the Victoria II was currently going to hell in a nice little handbasket complete with a frilly fancy ribbon. If the fact that the gunners on the ship completely sucked wasn't enough for him, the damned pirate ship had also caught them totally off guard with their almost suicidal feint. Now the crew from the Vohermaro vessel was starting to swarm in with the possible intention to take over this ship ( ... )

Being in the army for several years, as well as being in command, had led some interesting people to Shinji. These people ranged in personality and mannerisms, but overall, everyone was different. You couldn't really expect anyone to be a certain way. But from what he'd heard and knew of the Victoria II, they seemed to all be stuck-up, serious, fancypants kind of people who drank tea all the time. As went the stereotype anyway.

But if there was anyone the blond wasn't afraid of, it was military officers, and as soon as the planks went down, he took a leisurely moment to allow the others to scatter onto the deck of the Victoria II. Shinji wasn't really in a hurry, and besides, rushing into things usually got you killed or bleeding. So when his feet touched the wood of the deck, he dropped his hand to the hilt of his sword and waited for the first person to make eye contact.

Its for the name of epic shounen. :D mayovice October 20 2009, 09:24:21 UTC
It didn't take long before Hijikata was up on the top deck of the Victoria II, and even shorter than that before he was starting to bark out orders towards the crew members who were doing nothing but running around and doing nothing but being utterly useless annoyances to everyone else.

"You there, go aid the passengers! And you, seaman! Go help with the mechanics in stabilizing the ship!" Honestly, it wasn't as if this was the first battle this vessel had been in - granted, the crew did have a very high turnover rate but still... okay, maybe that could help out with the reason why a good part of the crew was just going around being totally lost. But goddamnit, the idiots could have some fucking initiative at the very least! This was a military ship, not a place to babysit assholes!

The first wave of pirates from the 4423 has made themselves known by now, and there were of those who were (foolishly) brave enough to try and attack him the moment he was spotted. Hijikata wasted no time in drawing out his sword, countering and ( ... )

And heeeeeeeeeeeeeere's ZACK! zack_thefairest October 20 2009, 06:32:26 UTC
Zack was already ready and waiting when the planks and ropes went across to the Victoria II.

It's been so long since he's had a good sword match! Okay, so he didn't want to fight against Sephiroth, because he hated fighting against friends, but surely there was someone good enough there to give him a good fight. It didn't even have to be with swords, though Zack was the best with one.

As soon as the planks look stable enough to cross, he was off across them, landing lightly on the deck of the Victoria II.

Having left the defense of the Victoria II to Edgeworth, von Karma strode out onto the deck of the Victoria II, prepared to-

Of course, he barely decided on the perfect way to board the 4423 before someone from that ship crossed over to the deck of his ship.

Typical.

Of course, this was just a pirate. von Karma could deal with him in less than a minute, then proceed to the 4423.

As much as Kristoph loathed to let the ship lie in the hands of a brat like Miles Edgeworth, Kristoph had to admit that at least that would be better than letting the pirates taking it over. Besides, this was chance to get into the captain's better books, and the quartermaster wasn't one to let such an opportunity slip though his fingers.

Thus docked in his rapier and gun, the blonde was right beside von Karma, eyeing the approaching pirate with evident distaste on his features. A hand came to rest on the hilt of his sword, storm green eyes sparkling oddly.

"If you would allow me, sir...?"

:OOOO Two against one?!?!? Zack welcomes you all! zack_thefairest October 21 2009, 02:18:48 UTC
Oho! It looked like he didn't need to go much farther in before the action came to him. Zack was thrilled.

"So! Which one of you is up first? Unless you both want to double-team me, but I'm good for that too." Zack gave them both a maniacal grin, hefting his buster sword up in a defensive position.

ANNE THIS IS FOR YOU! \o/ fullofyouth October 20 2009, 08:29:41 UTC
Getting boarded by pirates was not on the list of things Gai had expected to happen today. Board a pirate vessel, maybe. But the other way around? Not expected.

Naturally, Gai was in the thick of it, a whirling dervish of bright green, laying waste to pirates wherever he had the opportunity. And keeping an eye out for Anko Mitarashi...he had a bed feeling that she wouldn't let a little thing like a head wound keep her away.

HOOORAY /sorry I'm a little laaaate thesnakecharm October 22 2009, 01:33:45 UTC
And Anko, of course, was herself on the front edge of the boarding forces. She'd caught a minor blow to her head, earlier, but the only reminder of that scrape was a fair amount of dried blood she's done her best to get a good amount of off.

The stripe across each cheek, now, those were deliberate. Let those Ivonians think she was scary and bloodthirsty--an image she strongly upheld, sliding through the throngs like a knife through butter, mostly wounding today.

No one had pissed her off real bad yet.

Ah! There she was! Gai broke away from the crowd, quickly knocking some heads together to facilitate his passage, and dove towards her, crossing half the deck in short order.

He leaped into the air, extending one foot to attack her with a flying kick. "Ankoooooooooo!"

Upon hearing her name shouted like that, Anko instinctively ducked, the kick missing her by a hair's breadth, out of sheer luck before she even realized what was going on.

But that green jumpsuit was unmistakable. She scowled, spinning the knife that had just sent another crewman stumbling away, clutching their arm. "Gai! Wha--"

For the Jager or Leo! Uh, first come first serve? neme_morifacias October 20 2009, 17:11:36 UTC
Sephiroth didn't even bother to get out of his pilot uniform once he landed in the hanger. He needed to be quick and worrying about clothing was the furthest from his mind. He simply removed his helmet, letting his hair fall out, though it stayed in the tie, and chucked it to the floor. He retrieved his sword from the cockpit and quickly ran to the desk.

"Tch," He scoffed, it was already swarmed with pirates. He couldn't see Zack anywhere and he hoped he never will. Sephiroth also dimly hoped that he didn't see him in the brig either. But as he told Zack, he wasn't going to hold back. Masamune flew through the air, the metal whistling as it dealt with the pirates.

wait, isn't Leo on the same side? Not that I'm complaining or anything... XDD causink_trouble October 20 2009, 20:34:58 UTC
Jenka wasn't about to wait for ropes or planks - she was on the Victoria II the moment it was close enough to jump across. (which, in her case, wasn't all that close). Immediately surrounded by a group of soldiers, the Jäger was only paying them enough attention to block most of their blows as she looked around for anyone familiar or simply interesting-looking. There was no telling how long before the ships broke apart again, so she wasn't going to waste her time on mediocre opponents when she knew enough of the Victoria's crew to expect some truly skilled fighters.

Her bloodthirsty grin only got wider as she spotted the man with long silver hair a small distance away. Lucky! This was probably Zack's 'acquaintance', and Zack was good enough that Jenka could trust his warning to mean something. Not that she was going to take it as a warning, of course. Going away from danger wasn't an option that occurred to her often ( ... )

Sephiroth's instincts screamed at him to turn around and he did so, blocking a blow and kicking a pirate over. And quite a bit a ways too. He spotted a Jager woman and narrowed his eyes. He had to be careful.

She was not like normal humans, after all. That much, he knew about Jagers.

[All his info is on his app, actually, which is on his journal. As for a run down right now though, Sephiroth is very much the same. He's got Mako in him, which is refinied Mana, and raw Mana. They both give him enhanced senses. Faster, stronger, etc. He damages like a normal human though, he's just really fast and strong so it's hard to even get to damage him xD. Hm, he knows a bit of magic too, some elemental spells, not too much. His eyes glow but that's because of all the mana in him. XD Hm... that's about it, I suppose. Oh! He's damn good with that long sword he's got. It's... super long but he's able to fight close quarter with it too, obviously not AS well as a normal sword, but he found ways to manuever it. Hm, we can also talk about this over ( ... )

not sure who that is, but I suppose we'll find out ^_^ causink_trouble October 21 2009, 02:05:03 UTC
Jenka could tell from a few steps away that he smelled human, but a few encounters on the 4423 taught her that didn't always mean much. She had no idea who or what the man was, but he clearly had good instincts!

Not taking the time to find out more about her opponent, she charged him the moment the way was clear, her heavy broadsword flashing overhead only to switch to a slash from the side at the last moment. Wouldn't want to spoil the surprise of learning his abilities in battle! It wasn't difficult to tell Jenka was in this simply for the joy of fighting, without giving much thought to practical considerations.

[Got it. (oh yeah, Jenka has enhanced senses too, forgot to add). Sounds like a pretty even match, then. Jenka's pretty clueless about magic though, so that might work well. She's also much more interested in the fun than actually winning, right now, so if Sephiroth fights smart, he can do some serious damage. 8D ( ... )

I guess I'll kick off the Kensei/Soubi/Edgeworth/Katsu thing then? imadoushin October 21 2009, 00:15:52 UTC
Katsushiro scrambled across the planks between the ships, trying not to think about just how high up the ramshackle arrangement was. Fortunately, he was across and jumping down onto the deck of the Victoria II before exactly how bad an idea running around on a few hastily thrown-together planks this high up in the air could be.

Naturally, the deck of the enemy ship wasn't the safest place to be, either, but danger of being stabbed was at least the sort of danger he'd trained to deal with. His sword was already drawn by the time his feet hit the deck, and as he traded blows with the first few enemy crewmembers to come at him, he spared as much attention as he could to glance around, trying, through the chaos on deck, to get some idea of the ship's layout ( ... )

Following right behind the younger samurai was Kensei, having parked his plane back in the hangar and joining the boarding crew in the action. While he was a pretty decent pilot (as winning the races so unexpectedly had proven), the Vaizard was pretty sure he was going to be more useful on the ground rather than be on the air. Besides, Reno could handle what was out there by himself since most of the pilots would be more focused on this situation... hopefully.

...he'd have to make it up to the redhead later.

At any rate, the silver-haired man was up along with Katsushiro, dark brown eyes glancing around the place as he followed the other, searching for whatever target they were supposed to deal with - hopefully without any hiccups. In a mission like this, a hiccup would only mean trouble.

Order: Katsu -> Kensei -> Edgeworth -> Soubi edge_of_honor October 21 2009, 04:04:21 UTC
The sounds of battle raged above, and each muffled shout and clash of steel caused Edgeworth to grip his hilt tighter. He didn't dare to go above and join the fray, though; his hesitation was not caused by cowardice but was borne from duty. Should the crew above fail (They won't, he reminded himself sharply) it would be up to him and the other men and women stationed below to hold their enemies at bay. All he could do for now is stand guard and trust that his soldiers could do their job properly.

There was no need to stand stationary by the door to the passengers, however. Edgeworth's boots echoed softly as he stalked through the corridor, his sharp ears and eyes on the search for anything out of the ordinary. He knew all too well that defenses didn't have to fall for rats to sneak in. If he was to protect his ho-his ship, he had to keep constant vigilance ( ... )

Right behind Edgeworth was Soubi, having been ordered to stay below to help guard the passengers. He took note of his surroundings: a hallway meant a more confined potential battleground, and while that wasn't exactly to Soubi's liking, it would have to do. He worked better in larger, more open spaces, but every good fighter needed to learn how to adapt to the situation. He pitied the pirate that stumbled down here. They would have the most unfortunate experience.

He had lost track of time as they patrolled, and it felt like an eternity had passed before he too heard the creak of the door. Although he didn't know whether the person behind it was a friend or foe, he readied himself to fight, opting to stay a bit behind Edgeworth. Maintaining the right distance between himself and his foe was essential to his style of fighting.
