For the Jager or Leo! Uh, first come first serve? neme_morifacias October 20 2009, 17:11:36 UTC
Sephiroth didn't even bother to get out of his pilot uniform once he landed in the hanger. He needed to be quick and worrying about clothing was the furthest from his mind. He simply removed his helmet, letting his hair fall out, though it stayed in the tie, and chucked it to the floor. He retrieved his sword from the cockpit and quickly ran to the desk.

"Tch," He scoffed, it was already swarmed with pirates. He couldn't see Zack anywhere and he hoped he never will. Sephiroth also dimly hoped that he didn't see him in the brig either. But as he told Zack, he wasn't going to hold back. Masamune flew through the air, the metal whistling as it dealt with the pirates.

wait, isn't Leo on the same side? Not that I'm complaining or anything... XDD causink_trouble October 20 2009, 20:34:58 UTC
Jenka wasn't about to wait for ropes or planks - she was on the Victoria II the moment it was close enough to jump across. (which, in her case, wasn't all that close). Immediately surrounded by a group of soldiers, the Jäger was only paying them enough attention to block most of their blows as she looked around for anyone familiar or simply interesting-looking. There was no telling how long before the ships broke apart again, so she wasn't going to waste her time on mediocre opponents when she knew enough of the Victoria's crew to expect some truly skilled fighters.

Her bloodthirsty grin only got wider as she spotted the man with long silver hair a small distance away. Lucky! This was probably Zack's 'acquaintance', and Zack was good enough that Jenka could trust his warning to mean something. Not that she was going to take it as a warning, of course. Going away from danger wasn't an option that occurred to her often ( ... )

XD Not that Leo! Soul Eater Leo! Unless... I got the name wrong o.O neme_morifacias October 20 2009, 20:49:06 UTC
Sephiroth's instincts screamed at him to turn around and he did so, blocking a blow and kicking a pirate over. And quite a bit a ways too. He spotted a Jager woman and narrowed his eyes. He had to be careful.

She was not like normal humans, after all. That much, he knew about Jagers.

[All his info is on his app, actually, which is on his journal. As for a run down right now though, Sephiroth is very much the same. He's got Mako in him, which is refinied Mana, and raw Mana. They both give him enhanced senses. Faster, stronger, etc. He damages like a normal human though, he's just really fast and strong so it's hard to even get to damage him xD. Hm, he knows a bit of magic too, some elemental spells, not too much. His eyes glow but that's because of all the mana in him. XD Hm... that's about it, I suppose. Oh! He's damn good with that long sword he's got. It's... super long but he's able to fight close quarter with it too, obviously not AS well as a normal sword, but he found ways to manuever it. Hm, we can also talk about this over ( ... )

not sure who that is, but I suppose we'll find out ^_^ causink_trouble October 21 2009, 02:05:03 UTC
Jenka could tell from a few steps away that he smelled human, but a few encounters on the 4423 taught her that didn't always mean much. She had no idea who or what the man was, but he clearly had good instincts!

Not taking the time to find out more about her opponent, she charged him the moment the way was clear, her heavy broadsword flashing overhead only to switch to a slash from the side at the last moment. Wouldn't want to spoil the surprise of learning his abilities in battle! It wasn't difficult to tell Jenka was in this simply for the joy of fighting, without giving much thought to practical considerations.

[Got it. (oh yeah, Jenka has enhanced senses too, forgot to add). Sounds like a pretty even match, then. Jenka's pretty clueless about magic though, so that might work well. She's also much more interested in the fun than actually winning, right now, so if Sephiroth fights smart, he can do some serious damage. 8D ( ... )

Sephiroth saw the blade overhead and would have blocked had he not seen the slight shift in the female jager's weight. His sword, long and swift, was quick block the blade. Its length cause the tip to dig a groove in the metal as the woman was rather close. He could fight close quarters well enough, his sword, however, tend to dig into the surface of whatever was beneath him in the process.

Annoying, but it worked for him. He was only lucky that his height equaled his sword and therefore, did not do that too often. He pushed back against the blade, grunting in effort. This was definitely the strength of a jager. Though, he suppose that made him lucky. After all, he was stronger than a normal human.

Feeling her opponent's strength as their blades pushed against each other, Jenka laughed gleefully, like a child being given an enormous ice-cream cake. She'd have to remember to buy Zack a drink after this! That, and not kill this friend of his, but it didn't seem that was going to be a problem.

As quickly as she attacked, she pulled back her sword, raising it in front of her in a defensive position. Not her usual tactic, but she was curious what this stranger would do if given initiative. Especially with that enormous sword of his! It wasn't often she got to see a weapon like that being used well in a crowd.

It was just like fighting Genesis when Sephiroth got the upper hand. However, he could tell that she had merely pulled back and Sephiroth narrowed his eyes at this briefly before coming at her with fast, hard blows with Masamune.

Now that he had the offensive, he wasn't going to let her have it again.

For a few heartbeats, Jenka concentrated on blocking and dodging that flurry of strikes, needing all her battlefield reflexes to avoid taking a hit. Defense wasn't her strongest side.

And with good reason. Suddenly, one of her parries slipped out of the way of her opponent's blade and turned into a lightning-fast stab. At the same instant Jenka stepped forward and to the side, not nearly far enough to avoid Sephiroth's strike, but enough not to get cut in half when it connected. Anything less, she knew she could risk - and she liked her fights bloody. On both sides.

Sephiroth grunted and pulled back at the last second, narrowly missing that stab (though it did cut his suit, leaving a light red line along his flesh). He was quick to put his hand over it and check, it came back mostly clean. His brows furrowed as his eyes narrowed. That had been an unexpected move.

"You're quick, I'll give you that," He said, his hand began glowing a light blue. "But I wonder if it is only blades that you can dodge."

He drew from the mana in his body and his fist crackled with lightening before it shot out in jagged arcs towards the jager.

Speaking of unexpected moves - what the hell was that?? Strength and speed she was happy to deal with, but glowing appendages brought on some rather unpleasant memories. A lot of unpleasant memories, really.

She threw herself to the side the moment he moved, intent on avoiding any contact with - whatever that was. Mostly successfully, though one of the lightning branches did graze her shoulder, making her growl and shudder at the unfamiliar sensation.

The fact that she landed on some unfortunate combatant - and the strangeness coursing through the nerves of her arm - made it difficult to come back up cleanly, giving her opponent a brief opening before she was ready for another attack. Damn. She wasn't going to be caught like that again.

Sephiroth was quick to catch the opening and in an instant, the blade was flashing in the light, whistling through the air towards his intended target.

Magic, he found, was not his preferred method but was most definitely a good back up.

Half-stunned or not, Jenka was glad he wasn't one of those honorable people who waited for their opponent to get back up. She hated to have her fights interrupted. This was so much better.

Her fierce grin came back as she again dove to the side, coming up smoothly this time, and wasted no time in renewing her attack, blade twisting in a short arc to swing upward at his midsection. Oh, this made her feel alive.

The bleeding gash in her leg only contributed to the sense of being completely absorbed in battle. She was made to be a soldier, to ignore the pain and shock until the fight was over.

Masamune was quick to stop the arc and push back, Sephiroth grunting at the motion. He movements were still sharp and quick, the length of the blade hindering not even in the slightest.

Nothing less than she expected. They really were evenly matched.

He had the additional weapon of his magic, and Jenka - was what she was. A few more exchanges of strikes, and she feinted to one side, intending to tie up his sword as she closed the distance and reached out toward his neck with her free hand, knife-sharp claws extended.

His sword in a rather interesting lock, his free arm was quick to block the claws, hitting at her wrist from below before kicking his leg out to push her away completely.

This fight was definitely an interesting fight.

Fast as he was with his blocks, Jenka had already figured out she wouldn't be able to do much from a distance, so she wasn't going to let him break away so easily now that she got close. A block like that was as good as an invitation for a grab, and she reacted instinctively, open hand going for his forearm - or for his robe if he managed to move his hand out of the way.

Damn, she really wished she had a third hand in situations like this. She'd have to ask the Mistress about that sometime.
