Incident #1: Yesterday morning was full of docent led and non docent led school groups. My gallery was popular and they kept setting off the audible alarm for the Jungle Chest piece which is located away from all the other pieces in my gallery. at B&N while ringing someone up:

Him: (Motions to my freshly bandaged finger)
Me: Yeah, I just got a paper cut a little while ago.
Him: Those are nasty, I got 3 last weekend!
Me: This was really nasty, I got it from cardboard!

That's my wellesley side coming through right there - always got to be one up on everything.

So today, I had to work, and it didn't count as a holiday pay wise. And since they can't give 2/3 of the guards a personal day or floating holiday, a lot of my co-workers weren't in the best of moods. Yesterday, while working at the museum, someone came up to me and asked if she needed to pay money to leave the museum. She had money in her hand and seemed quite insistent on it. All I could think of was Charlie on the MTA.

So I go from a loud needy, but very friendly cuddly cat to a stoic, silent iguana.

The limestone here is lovely by the way. (When did I become a geology nut?)

So i'll be in town the 26th and the 27th (and maybe the morning of the 28th). If anyone wants to see me, I of course want to see all of you, give me a call before the 20th or respond here. Or you could always send me my favorite, mail!
