Moment of the day: Monday

So I get out of the car at the house of the woman I volunteer with and make a comment on the fact that city workers are standing in the street right near her house. She says, "They have been there for a week and a half, mostly they just sit in their vehicles. I've asked them what they are doing and they mostly give vague answers - I asked them what was wrong and they said 'Nothing, but don't worry, we'll fix it."

I replied that there would be a hole in the road in her future (as that has been my experience), and sure enough in less then 2 hours there was a waist deep hole in the road outside her house.
