my flight is monday night at 11:00. i want to see people before then.
i am free tomorrow (sunday) night, and then i expect visitors and hugs and love on monday (DEN). and then i am gone.
i talked to the msot amazing cuban boy ever today. it made me wonder why we have politics, when all we really need is good people and good times.

so val and i were talking today about one of the things no one predicts about going to school on the east coast: this weird three and a half month long period called summer when you are completely disconnected from your life at school. i have friends who live in jersy and on long island and they will see each other next weekend for some big party ( Read more... )

i just realized that when nemo died i lost all the poetry i've written since i got to school. it probably wans't any good and it wasn't even that much i dont think, but the file called anushkas poems that i keep on my desktop sort of chronicles my life in a weird way- i really like having a record of what i'm thinking, what i'm writing about. the ( Read more... )

the un is still awesome. a lot about it frustrates me but it sort of gives me faith in humanity that we think it can work. maybe its naive, but its a collective naivete i find charming, even in myself sometimes. that was unnecessarily vague but i'm too tired to articulate any further than that ( Read more... )
