so val and i were talking today about one of the things no one predicts about going to school on the east coast: this weird three and a half month long period called summer when you are completely disconnected from your life at school. i have friends who live in jersy and on long island and they will see each other next weekend for some big party ( Read more... )

dude imagine me. not only will I leave behind my friends for about three and a half months BUT MY FRIENDS ALL LIVE IN EUROPE!! I won't even be able to call them easily or anything. What the hell?! I'm really glad my friend Gabby is coming to visit in Portland though because she will be the first and only people to experience my two lives. It will be nice to have someone here that I can talk to about Portland life and my Portland friends- like you! When are you coming to visit me dude?

welcome to eastern coast college life [when you're from the northwest]. been doing it for a good while and you get used to it. sometimes you can convince folks to come to your neck of the woods and sometimes you travel. but keeping in touch by e-mail or livejournal helps.

crazy huh? heck though, i'm gonna be happy to get back to my big bed and no huge amounts of schoolwork. cuz in three months i'm back to ohio.

This one time I was even up at 5 and watching VH1 and saw the music video for it, which was a bit odd. But yeah, Portland. It's coming up. Woooooooo. And yeah, it'll be a little odd, but whatever. I'll still have you people and the U of C'ers will probably either call me drunk or vice versa. Karen suggests you go watch the US Open to visit your friends, but I suggest that before that happens you should win the lottery and buy a small continent. Or just.. uhh... work over the summer. Yeah. That too. And that way you can meet new friends in portland. Though not sketchy ones hopefully. Anyways, I desperatly need a tan before I come back to portland so... yeah, time for sunbathing.
