Fiona had little trouble with helping the girl get back into the room, pleased to see that she was back now. She nodded in response to her commentary, but said little. The house was bad tonight, worse than it had been during the previous two nights and the blond wondered just how much worse it would get and more importantly, how long could they keep this up? Although she also hoped the night would go by quietly - or as quietly as it could, anyway - she wasn't entirely hopeful. She idly touched the collar at her throat, briefly musing over what would happen to Zetsu if she died now. Would he really die as well ( ... )

Everything felt strangely weightless. Anna's consciousness drifted and whirled as the room spun around her, even as her body seemed hopelessly weighed down; she felt dazed and dizzy and a little out of sorts--confused, but not hurt. She groaned quietly as she cracked open her eyes, squinting a little against the light. It was still night, unfortunately--that much she could tell from the window, despite the light. That thought was enough to worry her a little, and she struggled to push herself up into a sitting position so she could look over the tops of the boxes and trunks around her and see where she was.

The attic. Why was she in the attic? She hadn't been anywhere near the attic. She had fallen--fainted--no. No, no, no.... She had died.... She had died. She remembered that. She remembered the pain, and her head.... her head. Anna's stomach twisted with sudden nausea at the memory, and she gingerly lifted a hand to touch her face and head to make sure they were alright, the other hand staying firmly planted on the ground to brace ( ... )

The girl took the bottle from Fiona with obvious gratitude, tilting her head back as she drunk it down, some of the moisture dribbling down her chin. She couldn't even think of how bad it was getting... she was so exhausted just from concentrating on not being seen, and she didn't even know if that even worked around the zombies. If they did find the attic, she didn't think she'd be able to do it again. Besides, she... she really couldn't stand the idea of leaving Fiona alone. She couldn't. Either they got out of this alive, or... or they'd get out of this alive. Courtney never was a fan of the 'white flag' method ( ... )

"I suppose..." Fiona didn't sound entirely convinced, but she didn't care enough to pursue the subject further than her inital quick question. The heiress just didn't have it in her anymore. Instead she just listened, nodding when appropriate as Courtney spoke. Chills ran down her spine as she remembered that woman and what she'd done to Nozomu and Naotaka...that was one thing she wasn't sure she'd recover from. It was for that reason that her response was distant, even half-hearted, in regards tow what the basement was, only offering a simple "Probably." She hadn't inspected the area herself to get a better look at it, not caring to poke around dark places anymore ( ... )

There was nothing. No bumps, no bruises, no blood.... Her hair didn't even seem to be all tangled up anymore, and she found herself absurdly glad of that; her hair was murder to take care of at night in this place, what with all the knots it invariably ended up with. Then again, this place was dangerous--why the hell was she worrying about how she looked? It was a stupid, ridiculous, vain thing to do.... but when your livelihood depended on you looking and sounding your best, wasn't it sensible? Nobody would pay well for good singing if there wasn't a pretty face and dress to go along with it ( ... )
