I forgot to mention that I saw Elvis again. He works for the carabinieri - the police! It is really funny to see a police officer with an Elvis hair cut, who you know dresses like Elvis the rest of his life. I love it.

Although we've been living here for 8 months, we decided to pretend to be tourists for the last few days. It started on Tuesday when we climbed a mountain. The mountain is where San Miniato church and Piazzale Michelangelo are. We could have taken an easier route that was more direct, but we decided to go the hard way. As most of you know Kelsie and I only have two more weeks here in Florence. Then we're off to explore some other areas of Europe. First we'll spend a day in Milan, then 3 days in Barcelona, followed by about 3 weeks in Portugal. I'm pretty excited by it. Kelsie and I had the pleasure of entertaining my good friend Peter from PEI. I greeted him in style on Saturday night at Pisa Airport with a homemade card saying "peter webb" and a can of Moretti Beer. March 8 marks International Women's Day. Here in Italy they celebrate with full force. The streets were crowded with women carrying small bouquets of mimosa (a beautiful and simple yellow flower). I was talking to my Italian teacher Luca about movies I had seen lately. I told him that I had watched a few English movies on tv in Italian. Which ones, he wanted to know.
