Beware of Pedipalps

I know: you're frightened by that word and you don't even know what pedipalps are. You should be afraid!! Pedipalps are the claws on scorpions and I'm talking about them because we found one in our apartment last night

i have another interesting tidbit for you. scorpions glow! true story.

My aunt lives in Arizona, where as you may have guessed there are eleventyfour BILLION of the things, so what they do is take a portable black light and go around and look for them when they go to bed and such, because they glow under black light. also, the smaller they are the more deadly, and the moms carry the babies on their backs i think...could be wrong about that one though.

hopefully there arent any more!! and, its probably better that you found it now rather than like two days after moving in, which would have made you scorpion paranoid the whole time.

that is so very true. if i was living here for longer i would have bought that black light, or put black lights in all the lights lamps. seriously i would.

hahah oh Jennifer, you never cease to amuse me. However I must admit that it would not be amusing to have an extremely grotesquely frightening creature such as a scorpion IN your house...not cool...ew I feel like I have bugs crawling on me now. If it makes you feel any better our basement apartment is filled with all sorts of weird little creatures....like the giant centipede I had to kill in the bathroom yesterday or the absurdly large earwig outside our back door...fun times!
