Ever since Claudia had discovered the laptop on her porch, she'd been listening non stop to the music that was on it. She'd been so excited to actually have her own music AND she was even excited over the dumb games that came with it. Minesweeper, Solitaire and FreeCell (which she actually hated, but hey! She so wasn't going to be complaining about

Said device was strapped to a band around her arm while she was headed to the compound and listening to Aerosmith before coming across a young woman singing to whatever she was listening to. Stopping the music on her own device, Sonya paused to listen to the lyrics, frowning a little as she tried to recognize them. It turned to a grin when she finally remembered.
"Bowie fan, eh?"

She had to force herself to breath and to smile. And talk. Sonya had totally just asked her a question. "Oh... Oh yeah," Claudia said with a cheesy grin (she couldn't help it! Sonya Blade!). "Bowie's friggin awesome and then some!"

"I think he was the only reason I let my bunkmate talk me into watching Labyrinth with her." Mika was more into things like faeries and other such tales, a secret she only let out to her friends. When she managed to sneak in a VHS of the movie-it was only by that detail that Sonya agreed to keep it a secret: because 'hello' it was David Bowie in tights.

And it was singing David Bowie. No that she had anything against the guy, it just added to the strangeness. Because she was certain she'd never sang aloud to Bowie in her life. And even more certain that she'd never been recorded. Pushing the book she was reading into her bag, she followed the sound around a corner...
...and stared. And then stared some more. Aside from the lack of facial markings and a streak of color she was certain she didn't have, the girl sitting under the tree could be Rachel's sister. Twin sister. Or as was more common in her family, a clone.
Please don't be evil, was the closest to a coherent thought Rachel could manage.

Setting her laptop on the ground, Claudia slowly rose to her feet, still openly staring at the other girl. "Holy crap...."

"What's your name?" It was the easiest question. If she said Rachel, mystery solved, the island's time bending ways simple brought two of her here. If not, the checklist moved from there... parent's names for the long-lost twin thing, no parents or fake parents for the clone.
She still had the urge to ask her if she was evil.

"Claudia. What's yours?" She leaned back, still eyeing the girl.

Scrolling through her playlist, she double clicked on another Bowie song, well a Bowie and Mick Jagger one Dancing in the Street. "Yup, David Bowie. He's a rock God. When I die all the music for funeral is going to be Bowie music," she informed him seriously. Not that she had any plans on dying anytime soon, but she still had the plan.
"You're doin pretty good with learnin' about Earth stuff. What other music do you know?"

Still, no matter how optimistic he felt, there were limits as to how good his mood ever was.
"Keep it down, will ya!" he shouted at the girl singing when he walked past her.

He rolled his eyes once but he wasn't willing to walk away just yet. He always lent against the compound wall just here, it let him watch the passers by.
"What's the matter? Trying to scare off some crows?"
