Ever since Claudia had discovered the laptop on her porch, she'd been listening non stop to the music that was on it. She'd been so excited to actually have her own music AND she was even excited over the dumb games that came with it. Minesweeper, Solitaire and FreeCell (which she actually hated, but hey! She so wasn't going to be complaining about ( Read more... )

Of course Claudia noticed the T-board and was in fact staring at it, wondering how it worked. Her gaze shot up to Zell though and she grinned, stretching her legs out infront of her. "Hey Zell! Not much, just listening to some Bowie." She glanced over at the T-board and then back to her friend. "Dude, that is seriously sweet."

"Awesome!" Claudia laughed, looking at the board again. "I got this laptop from the island. It's got some cheesy games on it. But otherwise? Dude, it's loaded with all sorts of music. Oh, man, it's so awesome."

Scrolling through her playlist, she double clicked on another Bowie song, well a Bowie and Mick Jagger one Dancing in the Street. "Yup, David Bowie. He's a rock God. When I die all the music for funeral is going to be Bowie music," she informed him seriously. Not that she had any plans on dying anytime soon, but she still had the plan.

"You're doin pretty good with learnin' about Earth stuff. What other music do you know?"

Claudia laughed, but it seemed she was always laughing around Zell, and she had to admit she liked it.

"Dude, that's kinda awesome. Though the history part? Meh, but knowing history always helped back at the Warehouse when we were trying to figure out artifacts and stuff."

She eyed him, still grinning. "Those are all pretty awesome bands and singers. But you need to check out Bush and a singer named Poe. Her stuff is pretty awesome." She paused for a moment before continuing on. "Dude, I work there too. I'm a waitress," she reminded him, jerking her thumb toward herself.

Claudia's eyebrow popped up. "Dude jazz isn't always mellow. 'Sides it's kick ass. Though I admit... Sometimes it would be awesome to have some rock playin'."

She looked back to her laptop. "So anything you wanna listen to? Maybe I have it on here."

She chuckled and scrolled through her music list. "I dunno, lemme seeeeeeeeee," she murmured, biting down on her bottom lip as she concentrated on finding the song, if it was there.

After a few minutes, she sighed and looked up, shaking her head. "Naw, dude. Sorry, I don't have it. BUUUUUUT I have Foreigner's Urgent. Wanna listen to that instead?"

"Sweet," Claudia grinned and pressed play. She listened to the song quietly for a minute or so before turning to look at Zell again.

"So how are you and your chick doin'?"

Claudia frowned and nodded slowly. "Squall was cool, even though he tried to be all serious all the time. But I'm glad Polly's been there for you. She seems awesome like that."

"You're totally lucky," Claudia said with a loop-sided grin. And he was! He had someone with him that totally and completely cared about him!

"Oh dude, he was such a grouch though. I mean, he was totally awesome, but it was like pulling teeth to get him to smile." And she missed him, she did. His grouchiness kinda reminded her of Artie.
