Ever since Claudia had discovered the laptop on her porch, she'd been listening non stop to the music that was on it. Seifer thought things were beginning to look up. The Island was warmer for a start and he had a place on the IPD ready and waiting for him, once he'd done some stupid 'training' anyway, which he could probably do in his sleep. Then he'd actually be able to get things done again.

Still, no matter how optimistic he felt, there were limits as to how good his mood ever was.

"Keep it down, will ya!" he shouted at the girl singing when he walked past her.

"HEY! I'M OUTSIDE!" She shouted back at the guy, barely looking up from her laptop. To make her point, she changed the song to Violet by Hole and made sure she was singing along with it as loudly as she possibly could without sounding like complete crap.

Life was too freaking short for this crap, Seifer thought. Once he was a full member of the IPD, this was exactly the sort of thing he'd crack down on.

He rolled his eyes once but he wasn't willing to walk away just yet. He always lent against the compound wall just here, it let him watch the passers by.

"What's the matter? Trying to scare off some crows?"

Rolling her eyes, Claudia glared over at the guy. "Dude, seriously! What crawled up your b-" she faltered for a moment, her eyes widening when she saw who she was looking at. Holy Crap. Seifer. This was just crazy awesome! "Butt," she finished, though now she was smiling and actually trying not to laugh.

"Something funny?" Seifer asked, looking every inch the menacing bad guy Claudia had no doubt repeatedly beaten up in the game.

He really didn't like being laughed at.

"Uh... No! No, of course not!" Claudia shrank back a little, her back pressing more firmly against the trunk of the tree. Whoa! Dude totally looked like he was about to pound on her. She thought for a minute though, tilting her head to the side. "Well except it's funny that you obviously don't appreciate good music."

"I ever hear any good music," Seifer replied as he slumped back against the compound wall, the threatening pose gone for the moment, "I'll let you know."

"Pffffffffft. Doubtful you'd know good music if it jumped out and bit you on the butt," she scoffed, though she did change the music to something a little more mellow than Hole. She looked over at him, daring him to talk more smack about her choice in music - not that she would do anything really about it.

At least she wasn't singing any more. And this song was a bit quieter.

He nodded his approval and went back to leaning against the wall, completely ignoring her now they'd reached this truce.

Rolling her eyes, Claudia just openly stared at him. "Dude, how can you not like Bowie?" she finally asked breaking the silence.

"The dude is an absolute ROCK God."
