It's nice to have people visit my new apartment. It motivates me to clean it much more thoroughly than I would otherwise. My foster kitty has thrown up three times since I started taking care of her, and she's been living with me less than two weeks. She seems to be just throwing up her science diet pet food. I now have a little kitty cat!

Actually, she is not exactly mine. I am fostering her, on behalf of a few people in the community who take it upon themselves to rescue pregnant and nursing cats and find homes for them and their kittens, after providing them with all the essential vet care and getting them spayed. What is the point of having voice mail Rogers, if every time I try to listen to my messages, I just get a female recorded voice saying "This number is not a-vail-a-ble"?!?!?

Note 1: The Little Red Roasters is my favourite coffee shop now. A local enterprise, it serves Fair Trade Organic, a commodity far too rare in this suburban sprawl of a city. Plus, they have an outlet attached to the Central Public Library. I approve. :-)
