Note 1: The Little Red Roasters is my favourite coffee shop now. A local enterprise, it serves Fair Trade Organic, a commodity far too rare in this suburban sprawl of a city. Plus, they have an outlet attached to the Central Public Library. I approve. :-)
Note 2: Titles seen on the spines of trashy second-hand novels going for $1 at a sidewalk sale: The Velvet Vixen, and The Up-Tight Blond. I wish I'd thought to check the publication date and author, but I'm willing to bet that they were the products of male authors and printed before the 1970s. :-S
Note 3: To the guy on the bus: wearing a belt with sweatpants looks wrong, even if your sweatpants are over-large to help you look like a hipster homie, or whatever look you are going for. To the girl on the bus: why did the designers even bother to sew faux pockets on your shorts? Since the bottoms of the back "pockets" reach the hemline of the shorts, you might as well stop pretending you are decently clothed and just wear your bikini bottoms in public. :-\
