My alternator is SO dead. Kaput. Blppppphhhhh.... a goner. And that ain't good. But what is good is that much to my surprise, I have some kind of unexpected and unexplained warranty called "Honda Cares" (but do they really, now?) which means the whole thing will cost me nothing at all. So no Italy at all for me....thank you so much, chest pain. Marc and I are enjoying planning the October/November trip to Viet Nam, which helps.

travel for fun
I leave next Tuesday for a week in Italy, of course. Only one week, I've cancelled the vacation week after the conference week for a couple of reasons -- mainly because of my unstable health right now.
