And this also means that you have known me (and I you) half your life, since we met when you were pregnant with Katie. Do you remember being in line at the ATM ahead of the frat boys when she decided to let you know she was there and left you in a puddle? Happy becoming-a-mom-day!
I know, sister. It's amazing, isn't it -- I've known you half my life. You're my oldest friend and dearest sister. And I look at these pictures of baby Katie, and at the grown-up Katie, and just have the hardest time putting them together. It goes so fast.
And I'll never forget that frat boy/ATM/peeing at Safeway day. It's the day I learned to always begin my journey in the grocery store with a glass jar of grapefruit sections in hand, should I need to disguise pee. We had been at a spinning demonstration -- Pecan Street Festival, as I recall -- and I was hot and tired. And apparently full of pee. :)
