I know what you mean. This episode was *very* poorly written and thought out, especially since it was supposed to be the episode where the team comes together and realizes they can do - whatever it is they do ( ... )

Gregg and Ming-Na are so much better than what they have to work with. And you're right, Fitz-Simmons are providing most of the show's energy. I suspect I'd like them a lot more if there wasn't so much else wrong.

And if Ward has been trained to "be the sole solution", the world is in trouble.

God, yes...

Writing credit for the ep was given to Maurissa, Jed & Jeffrey Bell.

Wade is driving me crazy. He seems too young/immature to me. I'm not sure what it is.
Skye reminds me way too much of Eliza Dushku and it's distracting.

I'm in love with Melinda.
I agree with you completely about Coulson.

Melinda is the show for me right now.

You're the second person I know who's made the Sky/Dushku comparison. I can see it. Unfortunately...

Tiny little pricks of light. :-)

I'm not crazy about Ward. I feel like they are trying to hard to tell us what he is instead of letting us discover him. (Not that I think there is much to discover.)

I didn't have too much trouble with the science twins, but then I almost always have closed captioning on, which helps a lot.

Skye's hair is annoying because it's so dang pretty! Did you *see* those highlights? Here, let us stand her in the sun juust so, just in case you missed them.

I feel like they are trying to spell too much out in small words while simultaneously trying to convince us of the badassery by just saying over and over "These guys are badass!" And, yes, the dialogue is rank.

Still, maybe it will improve?

Yes! That's it. Too much tell, not enough show.

On the bright side, there's no where for it to go but up... :)

I've actually been wondering what some of the squee on the show is all about. I saw the pilot and I'm afraid I was not quite impressed. I was contemplating on giving the second episode a chance but ... probably not *sighs*

I think the show's getting a lot of its fan reaction because it's a new Whedon show -- although it's obvious he doesn't have much to do with it on an episode by episode basis.

I've heard there was a 30% drop in numbers from the pilot to episode 2 so hopefully it'll get a chance to find its feet.

Aahh, the way some shows that have JJ Abrams and Steven Spielberg's name attached to them?
