Pestilence couldn't make it so War had to bring his dwerpy cousin Conquest.

I am so very much watching this for the actors, not the plot.

Upon reflection, the passage of time, and some discussion, I've decided I'm still in for Sleepy Hollow.  Yes, the pilot was like an outline of a six hour mini series, careening from plot point to plot point like a runaway rollercoaster through the Haunted Mansion (and I use the words plot point in full realization that they don't really have a lot ( Read more... )

So last night's Bones -- The Ghost in the Machine -- was the second episode this season that made me cry.  The first was The Patriot in Purgatory.

Good writing.  Honest emotion -- by television standards of both honest and emotion which admittedly have little connection to reality.  Consistency within their mythos. Characters you care about.  ( Read more... )

It suddenly occured to me that by allowing life to suck me away from LJ, it's sucked me away from y'all. Not just fandom but the people I've met through fandom. And pretty much only ever see -- in the social sense of the word -- on LJ. Perhaps anticipation of tomorrow's ritual sacrafise with pie has made me reflective ( Read more... )
