The open space in the center of camp has been cordoned off for the last couple of days, Ethan has been over seeing as the ground is remarked with clear distinction of combatant training areas. Posters have been dotted around camp notifying the team that they are all expected to attend the team training days that are up coming. First of all is the

Or so he hopes.
Beckoning Ophelia over onto the grass Ethan is at least pleased to have seen that Ophelia has made an effort with the assessment and though, she is not the strongest, she certainly as persevered on. "Okay Ma-Ophelia." Emma had already mentioned to him about the surname thing. "Can you do a few stretches for me and then we'll work out what you're capable of doing and go from there."
Reply
Shaking her elbows out, Ophelia finally stood with a nod, grinning widely and waiting further instruction. "Ready."
She doesn't mind testing, even if it is a completely different kind of test, and Ophelia is a bit of a crowd pleaser at times, and this isn't exactly massively different. So she wants to do well, which just makes her bubble up a whole host of 'go-get-them' attitude.
Reply
Raising his fists Ethan takes a defensive stance and nods at Ophelia. "Alright, when you are ready let me sweet what you've got."
Irrespective of Ophelia's strength or agility Ethan still puts his durability to it's full use because an errant foot in the wrong area can bring down the toughest of mutants. And there is no way that Ethan is about to be taken out by the likes of Ophelia with a foot to the ball.

So about 30 minutes after lunch, Angel appeared on the field in her government issue workout attire and a ponytail feeling a little sleepy after a big meal. "What do you say we skip all this and go take a nap together?"
Reply
Knowing that the location is far from private, but private enough Ethan draws Angel in closer, pressing a soft kiss to her lips and resting his hands on her lower back. "Now, now Miss Jones, that's not in the spirit of team effort and equality is it? Wouldn't want everyone else getting wind that you'd gotten preferential treatment now?"
Reply
For a second, she forgets how public they were being and just enjoyed the kiss. Even pressing all those tightly clad, albeit slight, curves against him. She gave him the big eyes. The puppy eyes that seemed to fill up her face. "Maybe a little special treatment?"
Reply
"Come on now, you'd grumble if it were someone else getting the preferential treatment. I'll go easy on you, just warm up and we'll see what skills you've got to put to use." Ethan realises what that might sound like and flusters, coughing and clearing his throat. "I mean in the sense of what hand to hand combat skills you've got... not anything... you know what I mean."
This dating thing and not saying the wrong thing is going to be far tougher than he first thought.

She did however pummel six shades of crap out of a punching bag, and then run nine miles at high speed. No one mentioned anything to her when she skipped the rest of the assessment and just went off in search of Ethan, because if anything could help her work this out, it would be talking to Ethan while exchanging soft blows.
She was the sort for better physical confrontations.

Surprised Mac hadn't come to rant at him soon Ethan had prepared himself for the incoming onslaught about not telling her and keeping secrets. Though in truth it was never his secret to reveal. But he'd accept any anger or irritation directed his way.
Ethan had been radioed ahead that Mac was refusing to partake in the full assessment and he'd just told them to take the results from her original assessment and carry them across. If any issues arose from that he'd deal with them himself. Watching Mac cross the field Ethan already had out the boxing gloves ready.

She'd catch shit eventually, she knew she would, but right then, he seemed to be humouring her a little. She picked up the gloves he had out for her, ignored any other safety gear and kicked off her shoes -she always did prefer barefoot.
"I'm not sure I want to talk about it yet," and she wasn't, she didn't even know where to start, "so can we just do this until my head makes sense?"
Reply
"Remember to keep your lower left side protected, I don't want to be bruising up your rib cage like last time." And it had been unintentional last time too, Mac had surprised Ethan with a move he hadn't anticipated but not covered her sides enough.
He'd apologised solidly for a week.

But this? It would just be plain ridiculous. There was no way that Ethan could take on that many mutants--especially since everyone listened so well--by himself. Wade could offer to help, but he wouldn't.
"The words 'physical assessment' and 'with Ethan' really bother me." He exclaimed, sitting crisscross in the grass of the sectioned off training area. Of course Ethan closed off the area he trained in every day. So he had all but no choice to come.
Oh well. More fun.

Crossing over to the sidelines he grabs his water bottle and drains about half the contents before finally giving in and choosing to acknowledge Wade with more than just a glare.
"Wilson keep your comments to yourself, unless they've got a benefit to them I really don't want to hear you yabbering on."
Reply
"Sykes, don't you think everyone would benefit from knowing the full extent of your physical exam context? While we all know Angel doesn't have a problem with it, the same can't be said for everyone else."
Oh, you were going to hear it alright. Mandate a physical exam and combat training from a guy who ate this shit for breakfast--and that guy's name was Wade Wilson? You'd get it in spoonfuls.
Reply
"Disclosing all of the data would then nullify the point of the exam, if you know what I'm looking for then there is a chance that not everyone will give their fullest to the assessment." He tosses the water bottle aside, ignoring the comment about Angel for the moment. Yes his relationship is public knowledge but that doesn't mean it can be used as a talkin point. "Considering that this assessment is to be followed up with one with Frost then I'm fairly sure you can ascertain that we're trying to establish what changes to p/t and other training needs to be made."
"Anyway Wilson, I'm surprised that you don't want to take advantage of an opportunity to show off... your skills."

She hadn't yet met the guy running this ession but it was certainly going to be interesting seeing how he dealt with her in the confines of an assessment. She knew already the level of expertise necessary to last a hundred-man-stand in Wing Chun but there were always new things to learn in the world of hand-to-hand combat.
She finishes her cigarette, stubs it out and takes a gulp of the tea. Working out on stretching while she waited for Ethan to take notice of her.

He's curious as to why she's brought her weapons with her, let alone as to why she'd even need this input but it's still good to have a chance to see what Acier can offer to the team first hand.
Setting the file down Ethan enters the cordoned off area and offers a tight smile. "Acier, I'm Captain Sykes. My apologies for not being able to meet with you sooner. I'm afraid running a camp sometimes seems to consume all the hours in the day and then some. So, far from thinking you need further training I'd really appreciate the chance to see you demonstrate some of your skills, minus weapons, so I can best ascertain your mission input level. No doubt you'll impress everyone here with your skills though."
Reply
She finishing stretching and limbering up before facing him totally. "So, what is it you would have me do? Some form of empty-hand demonstration of Wing Chun or a sparring session with yourself?" She smiles politely enough, hoping she can get away with running through her Biu Tze as a way of really impressing someone who doesn't even necessarily know the intricate nature of her art.
Reply
"Whatever you feel is most appropriate. I'm willing to be a sparring partner but my level of training isn't quite as indepth or detailed as yours. I've received military combat training but sadly I'm not aware of the Wing Chun technique. Why don't you example some of your knowledge and we can go from there."
Ethan steps back and gives Acier the space and room she'll need for her demonstration, clip board in hand ready for notes.
