Witch Creek Fire Update
My parents are back home. They re-opened alot of Poway today, and it seems the fire danger is pretty much gone for their area. They can't see the fire any more, at least, and there is not as much smoke. I hope things are going as well for everyone else. *hugs all around* -
San Diego Witch Creek Fires
San Diego County is on fire. Eight or nince fires burned today all throughout the county. My parents and youngest brother were evacuated from Poway around noon Pacific time, Monday the 22nd. I've decided to learn mySQL and PHP. I figure they could be a great asset and skill, something that would certainly help with future job prospects in the librarianshop field. We have an apartment!
Wow, that was quick! Got into Pittsburgh on Sunday (Aug 19th) and on Wednesday (Aug 22nd) we were paying our first months rent and deposit on an apartment! We're still settling in though. Last night we just had a leaky air mattress and a folded over comforter to sleep on. We bought a new mattress and boxspring set at the Goodwill today though, ( Read more... ) -
Moving to Pittsburgh
Well, I left Poway at about 8:30 this morning. Its 6:46 local time here in Utah. We drove practically non-stop through California and Nevada and then we stopped about half way through Utah.
