First child trafficking, then back alley abortions. I think HE is taking notes from Deserving in terms of making Hogsmeade into a sketchy-ass town. What next, selling counterfeit brooms and wizard pot?

Every time I read Luna, I think of Princess Luna from My Little Pony. And somehow that makes it a smidge better.

Though I gotta say, the British spellings of things keeps throwing me off. I forget that it's pronounced "pee-do-file" over there and not "peh-do-file."

The IT Crowd in turn was referencing a joke from Brass Eye, which Graham Linehan also worked on.

When I read that first line about "Harry and Hermione meeting [her] at Buckingham Palace", I tried to figure out what the real-world equivalent to the Equestrian location was. Then I remembered Buckingham Palace actually exists.

Being a brony overwrites your brain sometimes.

Dirty Dancing at least has the excuse of being set in the 1960s. We do know that the author is a fan, because Jamie and Alex randomly watched it when they were at her house in the first fic.

Has Neil ever met any actual 11/12-year-olds? The ones in this fic all act like they're about 3 years older - most kids that age (especially boys) are pretty wary of the opposite sex and not obsessed with dating.

Exactly. Apart from anything else, haven't they got homework to do? (And why do they hardly ever actually attend class anyway?) Or absolutely any other way of occupying their time?

[Insert obligatory 'Frank Lyler is Neil's avatar' joke.] If Frank Lyler is such a blatant child-ogler, why hasn't he been arrested/beaten up yet? Paedo Scare is a trope for a reason.

Especially as he actually gets caught.

I hope to the absolute highest echelon of Paradisio that he hasn't, all things considered.

Thanks!

Now, about HE, these plotlines are so phenomenally stupid. One, with Kim being convinced that she needs to be hairless or something (?), another with that atrocious and offensive abortion plot, and the last with the 100% non-sexual-except-when-it's-not nudity (that will be repeated soon anyway).

Who thought this was a good idea?

It's at the end of this chapter that she tries to charm her hair away, and hilarity most certainly doesn't ensue however much the author would like us to think it does.

Quick, szaleniec, can you give me any pointers on a good "Oh, you!" gif or photo I could use whenever this "comedy" comes up again in the future?

Tumblr delivers, as I had no doubt it would.

"You're not going to jump, are you?" Emily said laughingly as she and Kim approached Caitlin.

If only...

I don't think she does, but still, ouch.

She doesn't, but I can't imagine how Kim would feel after having pretty much her only "friend" tell her to commit suicide.

"I think I have one, but I have to keep it a secret from most people."

Mainly because any sane person who knew exactly who that guy was would be calling child services and the police as soon as they knew.

She's talking about Tyler here, which isn't so bad. I know what you're referring to.
