I think I might be done with HP
Not in the sense that I won't pay attention to it/read it/write it... but just. I think I'm over the gorging on it now.
Which is probably a good thing. I needed a new fandom obsession. -

I'm telling you I still don't get it.
Like, I get hooking Hermione up with everyone from Luna to Harry to Snape. But Ron still remains a mystery. He is such a fucking asshole towards her--and no, Draco insulting her isn't the same, Ron is supposed to be her best friend.
Although my instant and constant dislike of Ron made a lot more sense when I realized he was the Xander Harris of ( Read more... ) -
I think I've hit my saturation point
Finally. That took a long time, too. Nearly two years before I stopped being interested in HP fic. (that's a lot of shitty fic read, yo)
I still sort of enjoy it. But it's not the over-riding drive I had before.
And now I really should write more fic and post it, if only so I can be all "I did what I planned to do when I started this outlet of -

1. Draco entertains me as long as I don't think about the movie version who was an amazingly ugly and whiny brat. I suspect the fic version owes a great deal to Sirius Black.
2. I really cannot stand Hermione with Ron. Like. At all. And I know it's stupid, and I know it's not particularly nice. But he is so dull. Even ( Read more... ) -
Has it really been a year
It's really very frightening to sit here and thing it's been a year since I fell into the whirlpool of Hermione/Snape. Because it has. And it's been... disturbing, but entertaining. And sometimes I'm desperate, since there's no good fic left I haven't read (I think). And there's far too much awful, melodramatic, master/slave, master/apprentice ( Read more... ) -
