My husband, Tom, was able to get in to see a specialist at a ear clinic in Memphis on Tuesday for possible treatment of his Meniere's disease.  They will have to run a battery of tests to see if he qualifies, but we are keeping our fingers crossed.  We hope that the treatments they offer will help him.  He had a few good years but he has had more ( Read more... )

I do hope for Tom's sake that something can be done. My mother suffered for years with tinnitus and increasing deafness towards the end of her life. In those days it was thought that there was very little that could be done to help.
I had a church pianist who suffered with the same complaint....on some days it meant he was just unable to play a note. In neither of these case were there the symptoms of dizzyness which must be totally debilitating .

This clinic is the only one in the world who does this procedure- he developed it. Even local-ish ENT's (doctors) have never heard of it, so we were blessed.

Wow! Didn't expect to see you around here! I am so glad you are though. This doctor pioneered the procedure and this is the only clinic in the world that does it. He was an amazing man.
