I agree, but I also love Superpower!Harry stories and Snape-mentors/adopts/etc-young!Harry fics. The King of Attolia
I was able to reread The Thief and The Queen of Attolia before The King of Attolia got in from the library, and rj_anderson and attackfish are both right that it is an amazing book. I was surprised that we got to watch Gen through the eyes of another character for most of the book, but the device worked well and now I can't wait to see that character again.
