50 Notes: It seems I really can't focus on anything but this story. XD Ahh, I'll just do my best to finish it then. So, this part particularly, I wanted to say, I didn't realize just how much filling you guys in would have to be done.. it'd be nice to write an in between White Noise and Last Breath drabble sometime.. 'til then~ I hope this is an okay start.

Another nightmare about Krystal.
Well, if Onew or Minho himself wasn't being tortured, it only figured that his dreams would be attacked. It wasn't always Krystal. Sometimes it was his classmate, and sometimes it was the strange girl who he'd watched Key take out. Sometimes, even, he had nightmares about Taemin - his friend the vampire hunter who he'd last heard of being in the hospital after being captured by Jonghyun and Key.
Regardless of what the nightmare was, he'd wake up in Onew's overly tight embrace, wondering if his vampire was trying to squeeze the bad thoughts out of him. So when he awoke tonight, the first thing he said was, "You're crushing me again.."
Onew immediately loosened his embrace, "You were having a nightmare. Again."
"I know, I was there." Minho may have sounded a bit bitter, but then again, he had every reason to be. It was Onew's fault that he and his family were living in fear.
After Onew had "rescued" him from Siwon, the vampire himself admitted that they were pretty much fucked. The original not-so-brilliant plan had been to hide away in the most obvious of places - Minho's home. The Council seemed at least to be trusting that Minho's parents would alert them if Minho showed up. That is, well, until one day when they got a surprise visit from someone Onew could somehow tell was bonded.
Minho managed to pass it off as though he'd just shown up. Onew said it was safest if Minho's parents called The Council, and acted as if they still knew nothing - like they were just reporting their son back to the crazy school he belonged in.
They had to leave first thing that night, and Minho still wasn't able to contact his family.
"If we're not in touch with them, they can't use them against us." Onew had said reasonably, "If they can't use them against us, they have no reason to bother them."
Now they hid out in, well, a new obvious place. Seoul, surely just blocks away from The Council. Onew was sure they'd be looking for them elsewhere, and that made sense, but the problem was that vampires covered this city - and all it took was for one of them to recognize the two. Still, to Onew's credit, it'd been a few weeks now and so far, at least they were safe.
"I thought you were going to stay under the bed tonight." Minho said, pulling out of Onew's arms to sit up in the king-sized bed.
"Your whimpering woke me up." Onew replied.
They were staying in a luxury apartment. They'd lied and said it was just one of them, but there was more than enough space for both of them here. Just the one bedroom, but there was a very soft comfortable couch that Onew could have taken if he'd wanted to. He just insisted on staying as close to Minho as possible - without bothering him, that is.
It was too awkward being close to Onew now that he knew how the vampire really felt, and he let Onew know it. Onew wasn't being pushy any more. He'd tried to be in the beginning, but apparently he couldn't deal with how uncomfortable he was making Minho, and he'd been distant since.
Though if Minho was being true to himself, he'd admit every once in a while it was nice to be close to Onew. Every once in a while, he caught himself staring at him and thinking how ridiculous it was that someone who was so handsome had so much interest in him. Every once in a while, he remembered how amazing it was to have Siwon in his mouth and he..
"absolutely. wouldn't. do that. with. Onew."
Onew had serious feelings for him, and it'd be wrong to take advantage. Though thinking of it as 'taking advantage' seemed beyond ridiculous...
"I'm sorry." Onew said after a moment, and he climbed out of the bed. They'd had plenty of time to pack before the night came when they left Minho's house, and so most of Minho's clothes were here. Because shopping was so risky in Seoul, Onew still didn't have many for himself. So he was wearing gray sweatpants and a white tanktop that belonged to Minho, even though it was cold. He looked really different, now. For one thing, he'd cut and dyed his hair, all part of the not being easily disguised deal. It was now shorter and black, a harsh contrast against his pale skin. Minho wouldn't admit it, but he really missed the longer, soft looking brown hair...
The clothes though, Minho thought they were almost an improvement. Onew looked good in his carefully structured expensive outfits, undeniably. Something about the normalcy of him in more regular guy clothes just seemed better to Minho, and had since they first met.
"It's okay," Minho told him, and then asked, "What time is it?"
"Almost sunset." Onew said, glancing toward the window. They'd hung a cloth in front of it, but it didn't seem like much light was shining from behind the cracks now. Minho supposed it was a cloudy day outside.
"Are you leaving first thing?" Minho asked.
"I don't want to go out tonight.." Onew said, and turned to Minho, surprising him with a grin. "I vant to suck your blood~."
Minho laughed, lying back down on the bed. "Not that again."
"I'm serious though." Onew dropped back down on the bed, sitting at Minho's side. "I don't want to go out tonight."
"Why?" Minho asked.
"The news," Onew said, "said it might snow. I hate the snow."
Minho looked at Onew, staying quiet. Onew was skeptical of it, but he was most certain that he'd had dreams before of Onew as a human. In two of those dreams, Onew had been extremely fond of the snow. With the way vampires worked, Minho thought perhaps it must irritate him now - trying to bring back human memories.
"Are you going to drink my blood every time it might snow? I don't think I'll survive."
"You should be concerned." Onew said with a "harrharr aren't I funny?" smirk.
"Just an hour more of sleep." Minho said, turning onto his side.
A moment later, he felt Onew lying down behind him and moving an arm over his waist.
"Onew.." he said it warningly.
"You're not really going to get back to sleep anyway, Minho.." Onew said quietly. "It's just for a little while."
Minho shut his eyes, willing himself to at least try relaxing this way. He wasn't in much of a mood to argue, really. Besides... selfishly, he thought, it felt nice. Though his masculinity suffered for him thinking it, he felt safe in Onew's arms.
It was much easier to relax than he expected. Before he knew it, he was even beginning to drift off, only then Onew decided to speak, "What's so wrong about this? You seem comfortable to me."
Minho groaned, pushing Onew off of him. "I'm going to take a shower."
"You don't have to be afraid of me." Onew said.
Minho took a few swift steps, and pulled the cloth that covered the window aside. Onew yelped and rolled off of the bed, clutching his eyes.
"I know." Minho said, and he walked from the bedroom with a satisfied smile.
