We just got back from nearly two weeks in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona. It was fun! We ate a LOT. I haven't checked my weight yet (I'm a little scared to), but my pants still fit so all is well I guess. D: I went to yoga for the first time in two weeks this morning and it hurt so good! Yeah!

Life's been pretty good in that I'm obsessed with training and the dojo and everything. I feel like I've made a major breakthrough in terms of both confidence and not giving up. I don't get nervous anymore before sparring. And thinking about the tournament doesn't fill me with dread like it used to. Awesome ( Read more... )

I'm already starting to forget what the heck I did during my four days in Hiroshima, so I better upload these pics now! :O

I arrived at about 12 PM and the very first thing I did was have Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki. MMM

I was so amazed at how spacious and beautiful the city is. The people are really warm and easy to talk to, too.

Today we took a really lame bus tour all around Seattle. It's a beautiful city but the guide was pretty lame and boring. We did see some kinda neat stuff though, like salmon swimming upstream to spawn, and some nice views of the town and stuff. Had crab chowder for lunch.
