It was discovered today that strapping owls into armor and equipping them with swords and gigantic steel talons makes them pretty damned good fighters. In other words, you may enjoy Legend of the Guardians, especially if you don't mind a lot of Zack Snyder's slo-mo shots. Go see it!

So today I started working at a phonebook publishing company, doing data entry. It's a temporary position to start with, though it is full-time. I'm really just happy to have work again, and to be in an environment that I like. So, Judd Apatow's third film, Funny People is a pretty good hit. From early trailers, I suspected this could be Adam Sandler's big break into serious awards consideration, but coming back from the film, I'm not so sure. I went in with the knowledge that critics had drubbed the movie (and most especially the plot) as a whole for its many lacks, and that fans still rated it mega-high simply because itw as Transformers. So I'm back from Florida! It was...warm, for starters. Sunday and Monday were 101 and 95 degrees, respectively.
