Well, I've been busy again today. ( because it's fairly boring, so I will spare you all... )

We went to my sister-in-laws home, where a large group would gather for tonight's feast. The food was good. We brought beerocks, wontons, rice, and sweet potato blend casserole. Did not make up cookies or pies, as I bought stuff for, but there was plenty of dessert to enjoy. I will make the sweets later this week. ( Read more... )

Christmas Tree Lane walk is on two nights again this year. Tuesday, Dec. 2 and Wednesday, Dec. 10.

Those in Fresno who enjoy this event. Do you have a preference on which night we should walk together?

And I am planning on making a new Edwardian style wool coat for this winter, which I hope to wear on that walk.

We had a great day yesterday. We traveled to Felton (a hop above Santa Cruz on the coast), and spent the afternoon with Thomas the Tank Engine, one of Cam's birthday gifts, tho 'Elle got to enjoy it a lot more I think. ( kinda long... )

Yesterday we escaped the heat for the day, and made a trip to Pismo Beach to enjoy cooler breezes and cool ocean water. Very nice trip, although I think it was too short just doing a day trip of it. Happy New Years to ALL!!

I hope everyone is having a great Christmas (for those who enjoy/partake in this holy day).

Our is pretty laid back, and enjoyable.

The kids got lots of gifts from family and friends. And Santa brought them new bikes this year. Cam is going to head out soon to play on his. Maurelle is napping (sorta) but her new tricycle awaits her. ( more on the toys & gifts under here... )

What a day. I am thankful that I was allowed to sleep in a few extra hours. It seems that Maurelle also slept in, as she got up same time I did, which was around 10am. Oh, my, how good that felt. Cam got up around his usual, and Rob got up with him.
