Folks that told me that Serenity was not as good as the Firefly series were correct.  Everything seemed less natural in the acting--except for River, she rocked!  Everyone else seemed slightly awkward.  The movie was still great and it was really interesting to find out where everything was going.  I was sad when it was over, because that means ( Read more... )

I love my evil cutie pumpkin.  He is super cute.  Pretty soon I am actually going to pay my livejournal so that I can make use of my scrapbook.

This weekend is super busy.  I hope I have time to track down a pair of cowgirl boots or something to make my costume look a little more realistic.

First thing I did after I took my shoes off was ram the outside of my foot into the couch.  It has been over an hour, and it still hurts.  :(

Things have been going just splendidly.  Work is great, life is great, love is great (or the semblance of it that I have).  Kory is great--even doing well in school, as learned from his parent teacher conference on Wednesday.  I had a bit of a trying time trying to paint the floor in my apartment, but I have given up on that for a little while, soo ( Read more... )

I think it is really splendid of iSchool alumni and the department to plant two trees on campus near Mary Gates Hall for Mary Cooper and Susanna Stodden.  A bench has been donated as well, by friends of the two women.  Reading the email made me cry.  Mary had just graduated with her MLIS in 2004, her daughter was still quite young.  While it is sad ( Read more... )

It is such a beautiful day today.  I am working in Fremont, right on 35th.  I have a terrible headache.  I went running this morning after close to a month's inactivity, and while I did just fine on the run, now my head is pounding.  I did skimp a bit on my warmdown, so maybe that is it.
