I am at work today, and it is beautiful outside.  The library is glorious with the sunlight streaming through the stained glass and old style windows.  I feel truly lucky to work here, if I have to work at all today.  Kory is at my grandma's, hanging out with my mom.  I hope he gets outside to enjoy the weather ( Read more... )

Yay!  My job has been extended and I will be deployed to the Northgate branch when Queen Anne closes!   This is so great.  I didn't think I would find out until later next week, since my manager is out of town for a bit, but I got the email today!!

I am so relieved!

I just happened to be watching the news when a story came on about the Tom Wales murder in 2001.  It didn't occur to me until I saw a picture of his house and they said it was in Queen Anne that I had a connection to that family.  I worked as an intern for Wales literary agency during 2001.  At that time, the agency was located in the owner's ex ( Read more... )

I got some nice, big, fat, pink horsepills for my sinus infection this morning.  I should be better in less than 10 days.  I also get to do some sinus cleansing with salt water.  I am so excited.  But at least I am going to get better.

Otherwise, life is grand!

Today was good aside from the debilitating coughing fits.  I was able to find materials that a 20 year vetran wasn't able to find.  Of course, it was mostly because of a cataloging problem.  But I feel as if I proved myself today.  And I am going to the doctor on Thursday to see if I can get rid of this cough.  I am tired of people looking at me ( Read more... )

Starting work tomorrow.  Wish me luck in not tripping over my own feet or being late, as I am so apt at doing at the wrong times.

I went to see my friend Mary's Black Sabbath cover band tonight, Supernauty.  They were a lot of fun, and the music was good too. Mary's bass parts were really tight and the guitar was awsome.  The singer was good too, but you could barely make her out--Mary said it was the sound guy's fault for not turning up her mic ( Read more... )
