So this weekend was busy! We left on the 5:52 train Sunday morning to get to Osaka by 7:30 to meet the WhyNot?! tour group. Then we headed down to Tokushima by bus, and got there a little after 12. So, I finished Kushiel's Dart and have started on the sequel. It mighta started out feeling a bit like Memoirs but by halfway through it was all politics and intrigue and I really enjoyed it a lot. So, I've been sucked into Downton Abbey, and I'm really enjoying my stay, I must say. Unfortunately now everything I read or think ends up sounding posh British in my head. But if you've got time and like British dramas, I would definitely give it a try. It's by the same person what did Gosford Park, but doesn't bore or disappoint me like that ( Read more... )

A really powerful, very moving video about the Tohoku Earthquake and aftermath.

I got my grubby little hands on the 6th Kencyrath novel, Honor's Paradox, and aaaargh! I don't know when the next one comes out and I wanna read it SO BAD. This one was too short dangnabbit, and it ended in a way that frustrated me greatly.
