Until the windows exploded, of course.
It was a matter of instinct, unclipping her weapon and thumbing it on with that familiar snap-hiss. By the time Jacen turned back to the group, she was already standing ready, face set.
"The wards have not held," she stated. "They will be here momentarily, I believe, and we are of more use out there than in here."

He took a deep and calming breath, his lightsaber in his hand immediately as his eyes opened and he glanced over his friends.
"Tenel Ka is right. One of the other students can put up a barrier and hold down the fort," Zekk spoke slowly, mouth twitching into a frown. "We should stick in pairs."
Reply
"Unbelievable," she muttered under her breath, before turning to face Tenel Ka and Jacen and speaking in a clearer voice, "Never was that great with them anyway."
Jaina turned, withdrawing her wand in her other hand. "Pairs work." She sent a meaningful look at her brother. If anything were to happen to him...
...well, she'd know.

The obvious noise of shuffling and awkward jerking enough of a tell-tale sign of other creatures in the kitchens with them. "So, uh. You didn't exactly look really well when you came in for cake, did you?"

She let out a soft growl, irritated as the others broke through. How in the world did this happen without them hearing them at all? Glowering, Catty grabbed a frying pan, smacking it hard into the face of the poor reanimated body of a woman in a tacky pants suit. "We need to get more out in the open."

And then a monster jumped right at her from around the corner, and Kairi screamed, leaping backward and jerking up her wand, an unknown spell on the tip of her tongue. Abruptly the monster turned into a smiling Yellow, who seemed to be saying something, but Kairi's heart was in her throat and pounding so hard she could not hear anything, let alone form a coherent reply.
She took a moment to regain her bearings and lowered her wand, gasping. "Yellow! Please don't do that!"

"Wha!! Sorry, sorry, I didn't mean to scare you!" he said frantically, putting up his hands in apology. "Well, not that much. You should have told someone you were leaving!"
(You should have told me you were leaving, she thought. Keeping a secret was one thing, but what if Kairi had gotten hurt somewhere alone in the corridor? One injured person can't make it to the hospital wing alone.)
Yellow quickly brushed off the train thought, smiling and refocusing on the task at hand. "Anyway. Who or what are you looking for? It's not good to be out here for too long, so let's get it done quickly! It would be best if no one got hurt."

Slipping her wand into a hidden slot in her staff, she raised it above her head and murmured a low litany of spells under her breath. The sort of magic she was utilizing could only be dubbed "White Magic" because it was derived fully from the elements around her.
As the spells finally started taking effect, the Greenhouses began to glow faintly, acting as beacons for anyone nearby. If any Inferi came this way, she had a nasty surprise in store for them.

"Are you okay?" she waved her staff, sending another drove of plants to give Dionysus a clear path to the Greenhouses if he chose to land.

The dragonslayer kicked out what was left of the window's glass that shattered during the attack, and sat down on the window sill, looking down on the monsters that lurked about. Even though he didn't want to help, he did feel like he needed some good exercise, like punching and kicking stuff without holding back. Just like old times.
Gazille lifted his eyes as he felt movement and found Jayne, holding his wand. He narrowed his eyes as he thought about it for a moment.
"You're going to fight?"
Reply
"Yeah, I'm going to fight. Can't just sit in here all day. You going?"
Reply
"Yeah, I'm going. No use sitting here, watching everyone else fighting."
The dragonslayer stood up and played with his wand between his fingers, as he made the way to the door that led outside. He was feeling excited about this, actually, and it had been a while since he last felt like this. Hogwarts really was full of surprises.
"Heh, I wonder if I'll even need this?", he asked to no one in particular, confident that his dragonslayer abilities would be enough to deal with the undead army.
