Gladrags Wizardwear-Lucy and Erza, Closed for nowjigglingkeysJune 15 2010, 02:05:34 UTC
Humming happily to herself, Lucy practically floated from rack to rack shifting through a number of different dresses and occasionally adding one to the small pile she'd started. While her small allowance at the school limited what she could actually buy, there was no harm in allowing herself to try on a few cute dresses. Besides, even with her limited funds, nothing could get her down at this point, not when Erza had asked her to the ball

Re: Gladrags Wizardwear-Lucy and Erza, Closed for nowthetitaniaJune 15 2010, 17:02:42 UTC
For once, Erza was not entirely oblivious to how Lucy was acting. She'd asked her to pick dresses in a friendly matter, not with the intent of...a date, but Tsukino, Sulu, and the others that commented her ill-worded journal entry had made her think that perhaps, her friendly invite had been taken with more...romantic intentions in mind. Erza had no idea how to deal with most emotions (the solution was, typically punching people. And she couldn't punch anyone at the moment), and so this was...new.
And horrifying.
She smiled back, briefly, and quickly returned her attention to the dress racks, trying not to make her slowly rising panic evident. What if Lucy thought the same thing Tsukino and Sulu thought? She would have discarded it as Tsukino's usual rampant stupidity, but Sulu wasn't stupid. And if that were the case, what would she do? She could tell the truth, but that might be upsetting. But if she didn't, then what would happen? And would it really be that terrible? After all, Lucy was a friend, and she wouldn't do anything

Re: Gladrags Wizardwear-Lucy and Erza, Closed for nowjigglingkeysJune 15 2010, 17:42:22 UTC
For once Lucy was the less observant of the pair, completely missing Erza's discomfort in the course of her own excitement. Flashing Erza a brilliant smile, she nodded rapidly at the other girl's conclusion. "Oh, white would look so pretty with your hair and skin. You'd be like a beautiful warrior woman like Joan of Arc," she added with a teasing grin.
Holding up the dress in her hand, one that could be appropriately dubbed a little red dress, she tilted her head and asked, "What do you think?"
Re: Gladrags Wizardwear-Lucy and Erza, Closed for nowthetitaniaJune 16 2010, 00:00:33 UTC
To her horror, Erza felt color rising in her cheeks. She was grateful she'd turned away from Lucy to observe the dresses lined on the racks instead. She coughed. "Thank you." Her grip on one of the dresses was like a vice.
So preoccupied with thoughts of escape, she only dimly registered that Lucy was speaking to her, and turned back to address her, her eyes widening a fraction at the...length of the dress. Normally, these things did not bother her, but normally she wasn't on a date(!!!) with Lucy. The implications were...different this time. "It's...very nice," she managed.
Third time's a charm? At Madam Puddifoot's. Open!desert_bloomedJune 15 2010, 02:32:15 UTC
Ashelia, clad in a gown as always, sat in one of the window booths at the tea shop with a steaming cup in front of her. Her shawl was pulled around her shoulders tightly as she stared out the window.
Hogsmeade was a quaint little town, not unlike those she had passed through on her previous journey. It was this sense of nostalgia that had drawn her here. She tried not to think about the fact that 'nostalgia' was the driving force behind any action that wasn't connected to her teaching. Even her (failed) attempts to find out what was behind the strange events at Hogwarts were spurred on by a desire for purpose she felt she had lost since the end of the war.
The past week hadn't helped things, either. Confronted with her dead husband, the love of her life, in the form of a lion representing her soul had only convinced her how much she hadn't moved on.
The Queen sighed into her tea. So pathetic, and on such a beautiful day.
Luxord was dressed in a far more casual manner, as he liked to relax on these weekend getaways to Hogsmeade. Normally, he would make his way to The Three Broomsticks, however today he was feeling more in the mood for a good cup of tea over the booze offered at the other establishment. He decided it was a day for a visit to Madam Puddifoot's.
It wasn't hard to miss Ashelia sitting by herself near a window over a cup of tea herself. Luxord got a sense that she wasn't feeling all that great. He would even go so far as to say she was "down in the dumps."
Not being the type of man who left a young woman feeling so blue on such a nice day, Luxord made his way over to the table and hovered near the empty seat, "May I join you?"
Ashelia's head snapped up, out of her reverie. The look of surprise was wiped off her face quickly, along with that sad smile. "Professor Holmes. Of course, please do."
She crossed her legs, fixing her posture. "How do you fare this day?" She was all business now.
It wasn't often one caught Ashelia by surprise. Luxord took the seat in one fluid movement. "Thank you," he said. Before answering her next question Luxord signaled at the server on duty to bring him an Earl Grey tea. His drink ordered, he could not focus on the conversation.
"Very well if I may say. The weather is lovely this time of year and I couldn't be happier to be out of the dark halls of the castle," Luxord replied with a quirk to his lip. Ashelia was being formal so perhaps Luxord could try to loosen the conversation. "And you? A moment ago you were looking quite grim."
Honeydukes Sweetshop - OpenbloodycinematicJune 15 2010, 07:54:52 UTC
With Sebastian not putting out the usual dish of sweets for him, or even responding to the most simplest of requests, Grell had to find his sweet fix elsewhere. Break could always provide a bon bon or two, but it was the real dishes that delighted him.
More than enough coin to fill his appetite, he pushed up his lavish coat and bent over the counter to look at all the sweets. Maybe some of the spinning cupcakes, or some delicious eclaries. He squee'ed over the tiny little cauldron cakes, especially looking at the one bubbling with red sweet filling. Oh, but the pumpkin pastries were especially beautiful. He couldn't make up his mind.
The raven on his shoulder perched there quietly, inspecting the treats below, giving advice mildly.

Chourou was wandering around Hogmeade. He had to explore the British magical village. He had enough money to spend.
He entered Honeydukes. There were so many unfamiliar treats. This place would give him great recipe ideas. The best things, he would send to his village. He noticed a fellow teacher at the store. He hadn't learned most of the names. He decided to greet her/him.
Grell nearly jumped out of his skin, even his raven cawing in surprised, the wings flailing before it settled with a glare in his direction. He smiled sheepishly and waved, looking at the odd man and laughed lightly.
"Oh. Hello, follow professor. Looking for something delicious?"
Chourou grinned at the cute raven as it glared at him. His puffskein didn't seem to have any reaction. Chourou had the excitement of a kid in a candy store, despite it being more than half a century since anyone considered him a kid.
"All of these things are so interesting. Some of them might give me recipe ideas," he said. "So, which ones do you like?"
High Street and therefore Around - Opensei_whatJune 15 2010, 07:58:52 UTC
Ah, this was technically the first time Sei had managed to pry herself away from her books, her dorm, and her homework to visit Hogsmeade, and as such was the first time she really got to look at all the town had to offer.
Oh, it was a nice place, and the weather was good. The shops were plentiful, and there was definitely a nice atmosphere to the place. She'd already been window-shopping at most of the stores, and spotted a nice quill set at the quill shop that she was going to go back to later once she'd made up her mind about buying it.
Though, perhaps, she thought, she would have preferred to make this particular trip alone.
"No you wouldn't have," her daemon stated, simply, padding along beside her on the broad sidewalk, ducking behind Sei's feet when it appeared as though something was going to step on her.
And here she thought the vixen would be quiet for the rest of the trip. Oh well. The debate was on again.

Some ways away from Sei, a little further down the road, a blonde girl was bickering with an otter.
Minako herself was a frequent visitor of Hogsmeade, but it so happened that she was not shopping this time -- merely trying to escape the strange weasel-thing that could apparently read her thoughts.
"It's an otter," the animal responded primly in a high, adolescent boy's voice, walking alongside her. "Not a weasel. Do you study at all?"
Minako flipped her hair over her shoulder irritably, glaring down at the otter. "I study! Sometimes. Hey, you talk too much! Where did you come from, anyway? You still haven't explained."
"I've always been here," said the otter, vaguely. And then: "Can you pick me up, please? I'm not that heavy."
Minako sighed, knelt down, and allowed the otter to climb into her arms. There was a bit of awkward fumbling, a bit of dancing around and giggling when he climbed his way into her robe through the hood, and then he peeked out from over her shoulder. "This is better!"
"It doesn't exactly work that way, Fox," Sei stated, sounding a little distracted by what she was looking at in the window. It had been... a tiresome couple of days with the fox.
"I have a name you know," the small black and gray vixen stated, simply, her eyes scanning the crowd of students and adults in Hogsmeade.
"As fascinating as I'm sure it would be to find out, I have other things to do."
"Oo, how about that one?" The fox turned around, looking at something down the street.
"That one what?" Sei asked, turning away from the window to begin walking down the street... only for a black furball to dart in front of her feet and nearly send her sprawling on her face. "Hey!"
"That fine female specimen over there? With the nice rack and look at that hair. Mm, I bet it would be fun to pull..."
Sei turned around, curiously. "I believe that is one of the Gryffindors."
There was an exasperated noise. "You know what? You're impossible!"
"No, I'm just reluctant to... get in over my head."
"Oh, I know, human. That's why I'm here! To

Minako had been in the midst of yet another argument with her otter (this one was the merits of going to get butterbeer as opposed to cake) when the sudden approach of the fox made them both pause. Minako smiled brightly, and knelt down. "Kama-kun, I think it's like you. It seems tame, see? It's so cute~" She began to scratch the fox behind the ears, but the otter glared at it from his perch on her shoulder, fur bristling.
"Be careful." He then nipped her ear gently to get her attention, ignoring her noise of protest. "Look, someone's coming! That must be who she belongs to."
His comment, unfortunately, had not prevented Minako from scooping the little fox up in her arms. "You worry too much," she said. "I'll just give the fox back to her, and it'll be fine." She didn't know Sei, not personally, anyway, but she figured there would be little harm in holding the animal for her, to prevent it from darting off again.
"Excuse me," she called out. "Does she belong to you?"
The Three Broomsticks; OpendrivesthebrideJune 15 2010, 16:20:44 UTC
After looking for something to wear to the ball (unsuccessfully, for Utena had no great enjoyment of most store-bought clothing), the girl eventually decided to wander into the Three Broomsticks. She sipped butterbeer idly, and began in an offhand matter to sketch out a simplistic drawing on a discarded napkin.
The eagle was perched on the back of her chair, and commented as she did so. "A bit like Dios, isn't it? Do you think she'll appreciate that?"
"I dunno," Utena countered. "I wasn't trying to design anything solid for now. I just need to brainstorm."
"This is boring," said the bird. "We should go flying."
"We will later. You're kind of demanding -- has anyone ever told you that?"
Re: The Three Broomsticks; OpenwantyoursongJune 19 2010, 02:10:58 UTC
This had to have been the first Hogsmeade weekend that Cree went solo on, but having Dreathan around was tiring, and she wasn't sure she wanted to listen to him blather on about Sulu if she had invited her with him.
First stop was to the Three Broomsticks to grab a mug of butterbeer. The little wren that had been resting in her hair--like her head had become some sort of nest--instantly popped up. Which wasn't unsual.
Look, there's someone with another bird!
An observation that was also not unusual.
Let's go. We should talk to them. Let's go.
"You should go back to sleep," Cree grumbled before heading over to the pink-haired girl and plopping down at her table. "What are you drawing?"
sorry for the wait!drivesthebrideJune 26 2010, 14:36:50 UTC
Both Utena and Perithas glanced up, surprised, at the girl and her bird. Perithas ruffled his feathers for a moment, and then settled down. Utena rubbed the back of her neck. She recognized the girl -- blue hair was pretty unmistakable, but couldn't remember her name offhand, and knew she had to be an older student.
Still, Utena wasn't one to ignore someone when they were speaking to her, and so responded politely. "I'm trying to figure out what I want to wear to the ball. Some of the suits are nice, but they're kinda boring, you know?"
"You should add a cape," Perithas suggested helpfully. "With red lining!" Utena appeared to debate this, and then shook her head. She could just imagine tripping over it...
Not a problem!wantyoursongJune 26 2010, 19:47:29 UTC
Blue hair was pretty unmistakable, and Cree was the only person at the school who seemed to sport the color. Even if it was just dye. She glanced the girl over, suddenly extremely curious about whether it was natural or not.
"You could always buy the suit and then sparkle it up afterward to make it less boring," Cree suggested, leaning back in her chair and sipping her drink. It didn't even occur to her that it was odd for a girl to be wearing a suit, since her drummer was a guy who could wear a skirt better than she could.
"I'm Cree, by the way. Not sure we've actually ever met before."
