The Hogs Head, OpensweetykingJune 16 2010, 18:16:18 UTC
Break found this pub to be more something he'd be used to, plus the fact it was rare for any student or even professor to wander in here and this suited him fine for the most part.
Lightly touching where his left eye should be, he sighed, moving his hand back down to the 10th alcoholic drink that he had ordered already, tracing the outline of the glass with his finger.
He hated the fact that no matter how much he drinks he can never get drunk, though this is always a useful skill to use when playing a drinking game, it annoyed him that he couldn't get drunk like the rest of them. Looking down at his shadow, wondering if Sharon at this moment was spying on him he smiled speaking to it, "Well then Sharon, cheers"
He had raised the glass with a smile placed firmly on his face before taking a big drink from the glass, getting it all down in one. Upon putting the glass back down he just stared at the glass, thinking of what else he needed in town, which he will do after a few more drinks.
High Street, Alyss and KypmisplacedqueenJune 16 2010, 22:35:50 UTC
What a strange week this had turned out to be, especially with the arrival of her new companion, a large stag who called himself Rannoch. And since Alyss felt that she had been keeping herself entirely too cooped up within the walls of the castle, her and Rannoch were now surveying the area of Hogsmeade. After all, she had all the opportunity to enjoy her freedom while the others were still back in Wonderland. It was best to not waste it.
The stores do not interest you?
Alyss tilted her head, resting her hand on the deer's side. "No, I want to enjoy the day a little more. Besides..." She pursed her lips, smiling a little bit. "I don't think you'd fit through some of the doorways. Not with those antlers."
Something really had to be done about the Shuckle.
How the thing had managed to Apparate to Hogsmeade with him, Kyp really didn't know. He wasn't sure he wanted to.
I could eat it, if you wanted.
And then there was the coyote that had appeared the moment the castle was in his sights. Kyp had grown accustomed to the fact that sometimes strange and unusual things happened at Hogwarts, but being greeted with what was apparently a feminine manifestation of his soul (called Carida, because apparently he was big on the masochism thing) upon arriving back at the school had not really been something he had expected or wanted.
"Don't eat it, you don't know where it's been," he pointed out, knowing as well as the animal did that it wasn't about to eat the oversized turtle.
"Shucks!"
There was a pause as Kyp stared incredulously at the Pokemon that couldn't even pronounce its own breed correctly, before shaking his head and continuing through the town, capes (both of them) swirling belatedly after.
The sight was literally too outrageous not to notice, as Kyp came trudging through. A coyote and a Pokemon (she recognized that at least) trotting at his side. Two capes this time. Was the one just not enough for him? Alyss stopped in her tracks, eyes wide at the sight of him.
And not because he had mysteriously just popped back up after disappearing.
It was because he looked so ridiculous.
Next to her, Rannoch made a snorting sound, as both woman and daemon stared at the man. Alyss lifted her hand to her mouth, hoping to hold back her laughter that was ready to burst out.
You find him attractive.
Alyss also hoped that nobody would see the slight blush on her face.
The snort drew his attention, and the sight of Alyss Heart standing nearby with a stag next to her.
"So you weren't lying, then," he murmured to the animal strolling alongside him.
Her tongue lolled out, amused. Would I do that?
"Yes."
Alyss might have been hoping that her blush would go unnoticed, but this was Kyp. He grinned at her, dropping an easy wink as if he hadn't just been absent for a month. "Sir Durron," he greeted with a nod.
Madam Puddifoot's; Alma and ChaosisterofheresyJune 17 2010, 02:21:26 UTC
Alma's brief visit to her family's manor had been a pleasant one. Time spent with her brothers was a rare and cherished thing, and visiting her parents' graves had been therapeutic, if a little saddening. Even so, she had missed Hogwarts; she returned to the school quite happily, feeling much more relaxed and cheerful than she had been before she'd left.
And when she arrived, she found herself with a new companion. It was jarring, being followed around by an animal that talked back, but easy enough to get used to. The little sparrow made for pleasant company, if nothing else.
Chao's cobra, on the other hand... Alma trusted that her friend would be able to keep it under control, but she couldn't help but keep her distance, somewhat.
"This is one of the more... unique phenomena that has occurred here, isn't it?" Alma commented over her tea, grinning. Finnian flitted about just above her head, choosing to remain quiet for the time being. "Not so much as the unicorns, of course~"
Re: Madam Puddifoot's; Alma and ChaotimeinbackJune 18 2010, 04:11:11 UTC
There was a certain nicety to spending simple pleasantries with a friend. Chao didn't have very many of people she'd consider friends, so just having a simple tea with Alma was definitely enjoyable.
Especially after spending an hour lugging around the cart around. Her animal companion was much too heavy to carry and bit to scary to simply have around and was for the most part stuffed in the biggest bag Chao could find while they travelled. Chao wasn't cruel however, and let her snake slip out of the bag momentarily to drink some water her human master put in a cup on the floor.
To be honest, Chao didn't really trust Stheno either and every sip of her tea had her eyes drift down at her slithery friend to make sure she wasn't nibbling at a passing moogle or something.
Chao grinned back at Alma, though not as brightly. "Iii still think Halloween will always be the most unqiue for me, the unicorns second." What can top random monsters or stars and unicorns with the ocassional dolphin? "It's still pretty interesting though

Re: Gladrags Wizardwear; Lightning & Kyp (BUT! you can start a new thread with her if you like :D)sun_ofagunJune 17 2010, 10:01:25 UTC
Spotting his temporary apprentice walking into the clothing store, Kyp had a silent debate about whether or not he wanted to face death now, or later. Seeing Lightning head for the dress rack, he very quickly decided that it would be better to get the whole thing over and done with rather than wait around for her to hunt him down.
He wandered into the shop, the Shuckle shuffling after him like it had been for the last three days. A twist of the Force was all it took to turn the shopkeeper's attention away from the thing as Kyp made his way to the changing room.
"White suits you," he announced, leaning against the door frame. "Very virginal."

Kyp folded his arms and gave the woman a once over with his eyes, nothing but sheer amusement written across his face.
"You really are bad with compliments, aren't you?" he asked. "And you won't punch me because that dress is white, and get bloodstains out of white is such a pain."
"Shucks!"
Kyp glanced down at the pokemon scooting towards Lightning. "Also, the Shuckle. It doesn't like it when people hit me."
That was an out and out lie, but she didn't have to know that.
Gladrags Wizardwear- Kanda and Bridget [Open for lulz]jinxcharmJune 19 2010, 05:40:46 UTC
"Alright, here it is...!"
He'd been apalled, of course, to find that Kanda had never been to Hogsmeade- seven whole years at the school and not a single trip down? Unthinkable! So of course he had to bring the other boy down to show him around- as well as to try and get him something for the ball. He turned to look up at his companion as he opened the door and stepped in, quirking a brow at him curiously.
"So...what sort of thing would you prefer to wear?"
Gladrags Wizardwear- Kanda and Bridget [Open for lulz]cursedlotusJune 19 2010, 05:51:38 UTC
This was his first time here, since he never had the need to go, nor the money due to lack of family. Looking around he just had to wonder, why so many items of clothing, simple was better, so why over do it.
"What sort of thing, something simple is usually my choice of what to wear, usually simple is better for what I do anyway, anything with too much is a little over the top."

Kanda just stared at the direction before walking in it glancing around at the place he's never been to before and after this properly never again afterwards.
He wasn't even sure what exactly it was he was meant to be looking for in the first place as he leaned over slightly, was there something he was meant to find or not, because right now he hadn't a clue, though he would never admit it.

He put a hand to his chin thoughtfully and then began looking around. Finally, he picked a direction and pointed, smiling at Kanda nervously.
"Let's start over there and work our way over then- it'll be easier that way, I think..!"
