Yup, 4 states in one entry. That's how much happened in the wonderful plains states. With the exception of Omaha which looked like a pretty fun city, with an especially cool desert biodome at their zoo that we spotted from the road, there wasn't much to see besides cornfields. Most state lines don't make much of a difference except to make you feel better that you get to start a new number countdown, but, when we crossed into Colorado there was an instantanious change. Luckily we had stopped for gas only a few miles before our first Ranch Exit because that was all we saw for nearly the first half of the state. Once the devestation of our exit finally began to wear off, the realization that I was about to spend a week taking in sights and experiences I had never had helped me to shake off the sadness and focus completely on being in the moment.
