We had to say good bye to Bete Noire this morning. She was diagnosed with kidney disease back in August and it progressed too fast. The vet agreed that it was in her best interest, but that didn’t make it any easier. Sigh

The cemetery just called. The Air Force never received the request to do honors for Dad's interment today, so the whole thing has been cancelled. We are trying to reschedule now... what a hassle.

October 8th is a tough day for me, but not in the way you would think. You see, today (in different years), I have lost: my mom, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother, brother-in-law and a dear friend. All of them died on October 8th. TBG and I went into The Neptune Society and got everything arranged for 'our last big trip,' if you know what I mean. We'd had our will and trust done for years and kept putting this off. Guess who's been exposed to Covid again? Not me, Jeff! And he was exposed by the person who gave it to him the first time. Dawn has Covid again and is really sick. I am so worried about Jeff that I can't see straight. He has just started feeling better and getting out of the house. Now he is isolating again. Can I just slap her?

Sorry I wasn't around much yesterday. I got a text early in the morning from Jeff telling us that he'd spent the night in the ER. He started coughing, had a panic attack and his throat closed up to the point of where he blacked out. We have been so on top of everything and I've been careful to not do anything to tweak my back or legs for the upcoming trip. Except this morning I woke up with raging sciatica. Not funny, guys... Patachou had developed a bit of a cough after he ate. Not always, just occasionally, but it was bothering me, so I took him to the vet. We just got the call that confirms he has a tumor in his chest. We have to take him for a ultrasound and a needle biopsy to see if it's benign or malignant. I thought we'd hit the worst with Titan last year, ( Read more... )

Since December, we have been trying to have a gift exchange with Barb and Jeff. First he was in London until NYE, but then I had a cold.
