The cemetery just called. The Air Force never received the request to do honors for Dad's interment today, so the whole thing has been cancelled. We are trying to reschedule now... what a hassle.

I’m so sorry. Even more than the logistical hassles, the emotional drain of situations like this is taxing. I hope it is resolved quickly and satisfactorily.

That has to be frustrating, but it will be worth the wait. My dad was Air Force, and he had a military honor guard & ceremony at his graveside service in early June. It was very nice, even if we weren’t quite up to appreciating it at thd time.
