On any other occasion he wouldn't have bothered, but this time he found he couldn't help himself. He knew this area by heart, after all, and the last time he'd been down this street there had been neither commotion nor a tavern anywhere near it. He was entering under the false pretense that this place would be run by ghosts as well, a curiosity had developed after having several people cajole him into speaking with the spirits that frequented Somarium. He'd only encountered the Overlord twice, her daughter once back when he was still oblivious to things such as ghosts.
But when his eyes fell on the bartender, Raven in all his superfluous glory - the last time Rolo had seen the man, he'd looked like a total bum - he saw that his preconceptions had been totally wrong.
He stood still for few moments, eyes taking in the scene before him, blinked, and then turned around with a blank expression, heading immediately for the exit.
I'm just laughing so hard.notjustanoldmanNovember 12 2008, 01:04:34 UTC
Raven was rather surprised to see Rolo be the first person to wander in. He had been expecting Asch since he was the last person he talked to and hinted at this place. But seeing Rolo's reaction...well that was amusing.
And though Raven knew the kid from their brief, though somewhat heartwracking encounter, and betted the kid recognized him, he leaned forward against the counter, his elbows propped up as he rested his chin on one hand.
"Can I help you?" Raven asked in his old Schwann voice, which was a bit clearer, crisper, and definitely more formal than his usual manner of speaking. It wasn't that he was trying to fool the kid. It was more that he was just getting into the part and was interested to see how Rolo reacted.
Hey we didn't do anything :|notjustanoldmanNovember 12 2008, 01:10:29 UTC
Raven never moved from his place and just gave Rolo a smile.
"And I don't plan on serving underaged kids, but you seem a little lost," he said smoothly, still keeping with his old form of speaking. "Though I do have some other drinks if you're thirsty."
Unfortunately, the customer that came in wasn't a smoking hot woman, but a red hot-tempered redhead... in an unexpected new outfit. He looked around in slight amusement, before going up to Raven at the bar.
"Well, I can't say I'm entirely surprised by this," Asch said, smiling in amusement.
C.C. strode in with fluid grace, yellow eyes glowing eerily in the gloom as she seated herself in a vacant seat; crossing her long legs and tapping the table bemusedly. She eyed the redhead and the one she knew to be Raven with vague curiousity.
Of course, Raven wasn't one to not notice a lovely lady that just luckily happened to grace her presence. And he recognized her from their brief encounter, though he still didn't know much. He was a bit curious but decided to play it low.
For now.
"Can I help ya with somethin'?" Raven called over to her.
She looked up, leaning forward with an undefinable expression. "Mm, I suppose you could." She said blankly, tracing a circle on the table before glancing back at him; a coy little smile on her lips.
"How about you find me something, you seem like a capable man."
Have fun whining, Luke~.andafterthesunNovember 12 2008, 01:32:53 UTC
A blonde walked into a bar.
....
Well, a tavern. Guy wasn't exactly one for fancy and sparkly places, and as such the rustic feel appealed to him. (And he could use a break from dealing with redheads.) Thus, the tavern.
Of course, there was the bartender. And there was something vaguely familiar about the guy, even though by all rights Guy would have never ever met him, but...eh.
It's a bar, whaddya expect?andafterthesunNovember 12 2008, 01:41:18 UTC
And there was just something about that voice which nagged at Guy, something oh so vaguely familiar. (Perhaps it was team babysitter meeting team babysitter? A sense of kinship?) He decided to put it aside. It most likely was his imagination.
Raven followed Guy's gaze, feeling something tugging in the back of his head. Had he met the guy? Well, no, he would have remembered someone in that all orange get up.
...Orange? The thought bugged him, but it didn't matter. It seemed his new customer was fascinated by the record player.

"I... have plans later," he admitted.

"Plans ya say?" he teased. "Now, would these plans involve a certain young lady going out somewhere?"
