On any other occasion he wouldn't have bothered, but this time he found he couldn't help himself. He knew this area by heart, after all, and the last time he'd been down this street there had been neither commotion nor a tavern anywhere near it. He was entering under the false pretense that this place would be run by ghosts as well, a curiosity had developed after having several people cajole him into speaking with the spirits that frequented Somarium. He'd only encountered the Overlord twice, her daughter once back when he was still oblivious to things such as ghosts.
But when his eyes fell on the bartender, Raven in all his superfluous glory - the last time Rolo had seen the man, he'd looked like a total bum - he saw that his preconceptions had been totally wrong.
He stood still for few moments, eyes taking in the scene before him, blinked, and then turned around with a blank expression, heading immediately for the exit.

Raven was rather surprised to see Rolo be the first person to wander in. He had been expecting Asch since he was the last person he talked to and hinted at this place. But seeing Rolo's reaction...well that was amusing.
And though Raven knew the kid from their brief, though somewhat heartwracking encounter, and betted the kid recognized him, he leaned forward against the counter, his elbows propped up as he rested his chin on one hand.
"Can I help you?" Raven asked in his old Schwann voice, which was a bit clearer, crisper, and definitely more formal than his usual manner of speaking. It wasn't that he was trying to fool the kid. It was more that he was just getting into the part and was interested to see how Rolo reacted.

Raven never moved from his place and just gave Rolo a smile.
"And I don't plan on serving underaged kids, but you seem a little lost," he said smoothly, still keeping with his old form of speaking. "Though I do have some other drinks if you're thirsty."
He paused, considering for a brief moment before hesitantly moving forward and taking a seat at one of the barstools. He had walked a long way, and the temperature outside had fallen drastically since Halloween. The thought of those events brought a frown - which was more like a pout, really - onto his face as he folded his hands in his lap.
"Didn't think so, you looked like you knew you're way around," Raven grinned as he moved over to the other side of the counter where some water was being boiled and pulled out a mug.
"So you wanna know my name, huh?" Raven asked with a side glance, slipping into his normal speech a bit. "Course, if I tell mine you to tell me yours."
And in the next minute, a mug of steaming hot chocolate was sliding across the counter and stopped in front of Rolo.
I took him a moment to register just what exactly he was looking at in the mug. He tilted his head curiously at the marshmallows floating at the surface of the sweet-smelling drink, watching with sudden interested as they dissolved and became white foam.
"Oh, um...thank you." He lifted the mug to his lips and sipped, drawing back almost immediately as the liquid scalded his tongue. With a pained expression he bit down on his lip. "A-ah, I'm...R-Rolo."
He took the straw with an appreciative nod, sticking it into the mug with a satisfied little smile. Rather than stirring with it, however, he was content enough to sip from it. At first it was even more painful than drinking directly, but after a while the steady warmth was no longer uncomfortable.
"Mm. My brother. I need to find him to make sure he's okay."
"I call him every day," Rolo managed between sips, leaning on an arm to shoot the man a half-hearted glare. He couldn't blame Raven, after all. Few few understood the unusual nature of Lelouch and his relationship. Most people, he'd seen, had grown up with multiple siblings. Parents. Friends.
Not everyone, though, had someone to rely on.
Rolo turned back to his drink and took a sip. "Have you seen him?"
"What's he look like? Though the chances of me seein' him lately are probably slim since I just came back from a little trip," Raven said pleasantly. He had caught the half-glare but didn't think much of it. Kid looked like he had a lot going on as it was.
...He had a feeling this sort of thing was going to happen a lot.
"Five foot ten. Black hair. Violet Eyes. He...he was wearing white robes the last time I saw him."
His brow creased with worry at mention of his brother, hand tightening compulsively around the mug. He reached into the breast pocket of his uniform for the cellphone Dreamberry and locket attached to it. What if his brother were hurt...? Perhaps he should take some sort of action and...
"Trip?" His head snapped up. "Where is there to go? We can't leave the city."

"Nope, can't say I've seen him, sorry," Raven said with an apologetic smile. "I'm sure he's around though. A guy dress liked that can't be too hard to miss."
Raven raised a brow at Rolo's sudden change in disposition. "So ya haven't heard about the desert outside of the city?" he said as he leaned forward a bit.
Normally he wouldn't tell anyone straight up about it but...well. This kid could be dangerous. Teasing him too much wouldn't be a wise idea.

He walked back over to him and leaned against the back just across from him.
"I'm Raven."
Raven watched Rolo for a moment before asking, "What were you doing out here? Just walking around?"

"I was looking for someone," he spoke quietly, reaching a hand out to stir with his finger.
