8 months and sourdough
Since today is the 19th, Theresa is officially 8 months pregnant today. Her pregnancy symptoms have tracked pretty well with what the 'What to Expect When You're Expecting' said. I think last time I posted she was in the second trimester and feeling pretty good. Now she's deep in the third trimester and she's feeling it. She gets tired really ( Read more... ) -
Week 24
This Wednesday will be week 24. That means, our baby will technically be viable outside of the womb, and his brain waves have taken a characteristically human quality. That's pretty cool. He's basically a real human now, we just have to wait for him to grow a bit more ( Read more... ) -

I get to see my baby for the first time tomorrow!
In other good news, it turns out Bunny doesn't have heart disease. She does have a very slight heart murmur, but it's not really a problem. She got her tooth out and now she's just fine. -
Week 10
Theresa is now at 10 weeks, the baby should be the size of a prune. Theresa has been feeling pretty sick still, we're hoping that doesn't last much past the first trimester. She is now craving almost exclusively cheese burger, In n' out in particular ( Read more... ) -
Crime Rates
I haven't heard truly convincing explanation for the dramatic drop in crime rates in the last couple of decades. Politicians like to attribute it to better policing, but I don't think the data supports that theory. There also doesn't seem to have been any great improvements in education that could account for it. It doesn't seem to be a result ( Read more... ) -
Macbook wireless problem
I have a tech support question for any mac people out there. Theresa's macbook loses connection to our wireless router every few minutes. The signal strength is fine, it just drops the connection periodically. She has to turn the airport off and then on again to reestablish the connection. Vacation and housework
Theresa and I decided to blow off our family obligations this year and take a little vacation. We drove up to Monterey and saw the Aquarium. We had a great time, though Monterey's specialty is definitely seafood which is sort of wasted on Theresa and I. On the way back we took highway 1 and stopped at Hearst Castle. More Electrical Work
Theresa has been visiting her family in San Diego for the last couple of days, so I'm taking this opportunity to make a huge mess. Specifically, I've been doing some electrical work on the back house.
