Well, obviously my plan to blog regularly throughout the semester didn't happen. Thanks to the truck being late arriving & being a disaster when it did finally show up, I didn't get a chance to get the apartment organized before the semester started, which meant that I started the semester behind & never really seemed to catch up. It’s amazing what a good night’s sleep on a real bed can do. Tuesday, I woke up in a *much* better mood than I’d gone to bed in. Mom had tried to talk me into leaving my camping gear at home, instead of leaving it in the trunk of my car where it usually lives. She argued that I wasn’t likely to go camping any time soon. I kept waiting for this major change in landscape after I got out of Chicago. Indiana was still just as flat as I remembered it. We’d come through when I was in high school to visit family & I sent a letter back home that said “So much to see in Indiana!” & I’d drawn a picture of a big corn field. Of course, since this is me that we’re talking about here - terminal chaos-magnet that I am, things with the move didn’t go as smoothly as planned.
