Your car insurance is required to pay for your windshield replacement, but it may have to be done at a dealership: not sure. What I am sure of is that if your seatbealt fails to work as expected (mine won't retract), the dealership is by law required to put a new one in at NO charge to you.

If you have Comprehensive on your car insurance, your company should replace the windshield without any deductible.
Sorry to hear so many troubles came up in the rather protracted [getting there] month. Glad you're there safe and sound now. Hopefully everything will arrive safe and sound on Monday. Hope the camping expedition isn't too horrible...

I see Merc.℞ as a time to stop focusing "outside" and do internal maintenance that has been otherwise neglected. Whether that means getting back into yoga classes, seeing your doctor, paying better attention to your diet, fixing the one part on your car that you know damn well could take 6 other parts down with it if left too long, defragging your computer to prevent your harddrive from dying when you demand way too much of it in its crippled state, etc. -- whatever you've been neglecting and know damn well you've been neglecting -- Merc.℞ is the PERFECT time to take care of [TRULY important things you neglected because regular daily distractions SEEMED more important].
By daily distractions -- I don't mean unimportant things, not at all, just things that sucked up all of our time that we could have been doing maintenance ( ... )
