(( Your characters meetng and going to the Carnival )) rockinthrutime July 4 2009, 20:06:50 UTC
Of course before getting there from the academy was a tiny problem. This was a good hour's walk from school, so the Headmasters had encouraged everyone to either take the community bus, or find other methods of transport to get there.

Knowing Smash Academy, that meant all bets were off.

Bob couldn't wait! She was prancing and floating along the school's hallways, still dressed in her school outfit as she made her way to the school's front yard where she was going to meet Nester and Fuel. The rest of the people in the group were going to wait for them over at the carnival, considering she couldn't have more than two at a time.

How surprised those two would be to see her normal form! She couldn't help but giggle. Despite her age, Arceus never got tired of those reactions. This school was such a blessing - here she could be who she was without worrying about getting captured or her powers. And everyone was so nice too.

Bob wondered why she didn't come here sooner.

As she walked out the front doors, she gave a very enthusiastic wave to her friends waiting for her.

Nester wasn't waiting for too long, thankfully. He arrived at the school yard about 10 minutes before Bob had, so he felt like it was just about in the nick of time. Not like he needed some weird poke-lady thing to get to the carnival anyway! So if she had never shown up, he could have just gone on his own. No biggie.

But here she was! Awesome.

"Hey lady!" He waved over at her.

"Like, hi!" she replied her arm still waving. She walked over and leaned on a tree. "Actually before Fuel arrived, I needed to ask you something."

There is a lot of activity around you. People move and point, you might pass a man in costume giving you a friendly wave, or how about that gigantic Ferris wheel in the back? That thing is HUGE!

There are ticket vendors, but Smash Academy students get to ride for free! Another small thanks for saving everyone during the Aparoid War, so please enjoy, and come back as often as you like.

Everything else has to come out of your own pocket, however - food, dexterity games to win plush toys, balloons, or the arcade. But hey, free rides is nothing to scoff at!

Goose arrived early in the afternoon to take care of business, first and foremost. He met up with some of the staff members and the manager running the whole place and discuss a few things, such as where he'd place the fireworks, what time at night to shoot them, and stuff like that. Simple!

He left the rockets at one of the tables he borrowed for the day to set up birthday party stuff ((that'll be in a night-time!party thread)), and decided to just enjoy the carnival himself until nighttime rolled around. So many things to do! Besides, being a Holidaian, he had a special place in his heart for carnivals.

Jeff wasn't sure who would end up going at which times, but he didn't want to make any plans in case Samus found out and hunted him down. She was likely to be trying to do that for the next forever. So if he kept on the down low and blended in with the crowds, he'd be fine, right? He sure hoped so.

It was somewhere around 2pm when he showed up, having opted to take the nice normal bus route. It wasn't like he even had to wait for the bus, as every time Mother kids check the bus schedule the bus happens to pull up two seconds later. Maybe he should have waited until later in the evening; the sun was pretty high in the sky and it was really hot. At least to him. He'd have to get some ice cream or ride something with a good breeze before anything else.

Daroach made it to the carnival around noon with Adrian and Adrianna in tow. However, Lori was unable to make it, due to constant headaches and fatigue which is secretly troubling Daroach. But he figured that comes along with pregnancy, being she felt similiar when carrying their twins years ago. So he put his worries aside for now ( ... )

Although the main reason of him being here's for his twins to have a good 4th of July, his own reason's to drink some booze and alot of it. Not enough to get piss drunk in front of his kids, but to ease his mind a little.

The trio headed to the food table to grab something to eat. Daroach cut a few slices of soft fruit and put it on a paper plate. He then placed the plate on the ground so that the little ones can eat and enjoy the fireworks a the same time. Not to mention that they ate enough sweet things for the day, so needed some vitamin C to combat all of that sugar.

The older mouse then grabbed a can of beer and began drinking some, enjoying the fireworks himself. Goose happened to be nearby, so he opened his mouth to say his piece.

"Not bad, Bird Boy. Not bad at all."

"Ain't any reason for it to be bad," Goose stated simply, popping open his own can of beer and taking a nice, refreshing slug down. "Can't get much better than this."

He glanced down at the two little mice nibbling on the fruit, but decided not to open his mouth about them. The last time he even got near them, Daroach had a big ol' fit to give him over it, and he would rather avoid that. Although that was pretty hilarious at the time and still seemed that way. Talk about being overprotective, ha.

"Heh." He took a swig of his drink before continuing. "You're too old to be celebrating in a carnival of all places. But the free food and booze you have here makes up for it."

He wouldn't admit out front that this is indeed a good place to have a little fun, least for his kids. Other than the snacks, everything's pretty much free. And free things makes everything better.

The best part about a carnival was the food. And Max didn't care about prices - he was some sort of army commander type, he had a good salary. So this meant he could eat food like it was nobody's business.

And it was certainly Max's business to eat food.

He was holding seven foot-long corndogs - one was for Jake, three were for Blastoise, and three were for himself. He passed them out to their respective owners. "Dig in, there's more where that came from."

"Thanks Bra," Jake replied, taking his corn dog and digging in. He hadn't had a corn dog in a long time.

"Diggin' this place so far," he said.

"Yeah," said Max, his mouth full of corn dog. "Me, too. I love carnival food. I'm gonna have to do like a million situps tomorrow, but it's worth it."

"Since when did you ever complain about doing situps?" Jake asked.
