Cowboys and Carnivals Do Not Mix (dated to Sunday) 2x4_of_justice July 13 2009, 02:35:01 UTC
What was he doing here.

This was no place for a backwards sheep farmer. Too many electric lights. Weird machinery moving in ways things shouldn't move. And it was SO LOUD, Flint couldn't hear himself think.

He looked around dejectedly, wondering just how long he would have to put up with this madness.

Poor Flint would probably have to put up with madness of some sort as long as he lived. Maybe even a while afterward, too.

At least the carnival madness was just for the day! If Blacky was merciful it wouldn't even be that long.

...Haha. Blacky. Merciful.

Although today she was feeling a little less cruel evil like herself than usual, so maybe Flint would be lucky after all. She was still kind of brooding over last night's events. That was... she didn't even know what to think about it. And here she was, on another date the very next day! Not that it was a date. Because they were friends. If they had been anything else last night wouldn't have happened.

Well, Blacky could still pretend it didn't.

Right! Today she was going to just enjoy herself, damn it! And maybe trick Flint into going on the rollercoaster just for the expression on his face.

"Well, what do you think of it so far?" Not that she even needed to ask; it was clear from his face alone that he would rather be somewhere not here.

"Can I please go home now" "How can anybody enjoy themselves with all this noise?" Flint asked. "And those weird machines... what're those supposed to BE, anyway?"

"The noise is part of the appeal, or so I've heard." Was that a bit of a pun? Maybe unintentionally.

"And those are the rides." She pointed to one in particular. People were screaming in what might as well have been terror to someone who'd never been to a carnival before. "Most people find them enjoyable... And they are perfectly safe. Shall we try one?"

Flurrie had totally been there the entire time you guys had been having such a splendid time~! Carnivals were such lovely little diversions! She had sampled the food, seen several shows, and taken a spin on several rides, but there was one that she was saving. A special one that she wanted to share with a certain someone~

Now, if only she could find that certain someone. This was the hard part. He wasn't usually this hard to pick out in a crowd!

Well, after his latest HUMILIATING defeat, Eggman was looking forward to actually ENJOYING the carnival. Fortunately he had thought to ask Flurrie to go with him in between plotting against Sonic and friends, and fortunately she said yes. Perhaps there was some way to salvage this weekend after all.

He finally found her, greeting her with his usual flair. "It is GOOD TO SEE you again, Madam!" he announced, taking her hand and kissing it.

Ah, finally! Flurrie feigned shyness and blush as Eggman took her hand, giving him an "oh, you~!" look.

"Goodness, I was wondering where you had run off to!" She said. "How has your day been, dahling?"

"Admittedly I've had better days," Robotnik said truthfully. "But that can wait! I trust you are well?"
