It’s the first night that she eats dinner with him since they crashed there. No more sitting far off, but within eye-sight -- accidentally on purpose (because that way he could see her and it would both drive him crazy and make her feel safe) - painting her nails or reading and rereading the few magazines that she had with her like she was scared if she stopped then she would lose all connection to the outside world

Their relationship was, originally, my favorite thing about Lost, so I definitely love writing them, even if I don't have the chance to much anymore. Thank you for giving me that chance and for the kind words.

If Derek thinks it’s a silly idea he certainly doesn’t say so. He just smiles when she says they should take Erin trick or treating, because there’s only so many years before she’ll start to want to go with her friends instead of them

Stephanie! Thank you so much I so love Halloween and this just seemed so what Meredith would do when/if they ever do have a little girl. I think Derek would get it too, how much it means to Meredith to be their for every Halloween for their kids. She would want to be the mother she never had around. Amazing!

I think if they finally get to the point where they're married, then he would have to get it. He'd have to get a lot of things. And Meredith would want to do better than her mother, if she decided to have kids. You always do.

Halloween Night.. Lights go out in a elevator and they are stuck in there for hours........

Can you tell I have a thing for Meredith/Derek and Halloween?

Lights Out {meredith/derek}

It’s not like this elevator has ever been much of a friend to either of them so they should’ve just expected this.

“A power outage. In an elevator. On Halloween.” She says it out loud to make sure she isn’t asleep or imagining things. “Seriously?”

Derek gives up playing with the buttons on the wall and instead leans back against it, looking at her in the dim emergency lighting. “Apparently.”

For her part she rests her forehead against the cool metal that surrounds her and lets out a deep breath. “We must not be living right.”

“It’ll probably be a few hours.” He informs her, but he doesn’t know that. It could be an hour, it could be all night. Please don’t let it be all night. “Might as well get comfortable.”

“It’s an elevator.” She pays special attention to that last word. Because it’s all sharp edges and hard cold walls and it’s dark and something is making this incessant noise above them and she doesn’t even want to know what that means. Meredith’s never exactly been scared of the dark but this is an entirely new ballgame
