My brother, sister-in-law, and niece just moved from Tampa to Creve Coeur, MO (outside of St. Louis). It translates as "Broken Heart". Bad ass!
That makes me pine for the lovely town of Coeur de Coeur in Pushing Daisies. Sigh.

Make a Little Birdhouse in Your Television
Everyone should be watching "Pushing Daisies" on ABC Wednesday nights. It is overly twee, much too whimsical, disgustingly cutesie, and unfathomable amazing. I love it so much. It's made by the guy who made Dead Like Me, which was pretty great (and I guess Wonderfalls, which I didn't watch), and it has a very Tim Burton/Amelie look and feel to it. ( Read more... ) -

Conspicuous Consumption
There are times when I just want to spend money. Luckily, I'm a cheap bastard, so I go on ebay and find the cheapest cds that are actually worth buying [I came so close to buying a bunch of compilations -- 50s, 60s, 80s, whatever -- just because they were from the same seller --> save on shipping!] instead of paying $10 (egads!] for a new cd.

I followed a link from somewhere (opium2? someone's livejournal/myspace?) to a youtube clip of an a capella group on a paris metro train singing "In the Air Tonight".
