Did my taxes yesterday. With ICan!efile.org. Got a huge refund.
Then I double-checked it with Turbotax. I owe lots of money.
Turns out, the first one (which I heard about from consumerist.com because it's totally free Fed+State prepartion) didn't include my Game Show Winnings on my return. After a day and a half of tech support, they fixed it [also, they hadn't charged me any NYC tax], and now it jibes with Turbotax.
Which means I owe lots of money.
NOT fun to think you're getting a bunch of money (I should get a new guitar!) and then having to pay a bunch of money.
Does that explain my grumpy mood? I feel like not entirely. But I'm in a grumpy mood none-the-less. Sigh.
And what's with my friends and their mediocre response to REM tickets? I thought I'd be worrying about the ticket limit, but no. Blah.
