This job was totally worth it, and on days like this were there were female performers it seemed to become even more worth it. If the girls weren't so lost in their drinks and what Frau assumed were other indulgences it would be even better. Oh well. He would gladly take what he could get and enjoy every second of it. There were certainly enough people around.

While he stayed near the edge of the club, Frau did a bit of circling around and mingling as well just to enforce the fact that he was here and would be sure that the peace was kept. A bouncer's duties never ended, especially when he added in "enjoying the time" as part of those duties. Despite his ability to enjoy it all, he was on guard enough to pick up any warning of something getting out of hand still.

"Not bad."

He watched a woman walk past and couldn't help tipping his head slightly to get a better look at her, a small smile coming to his lips. Totally worth the work. Probably even if he wasn't getting paid.

"Hell no." Chuck saw the woman walk by, too, and damn but she had legs for days. Not looking would have just been rude after all the effort she obviously put into looking like that.

He went back to wiping the glass he was holding, chuckling at Frau. "God, I- I love this job sometimes."

Frau smirked at Chuck and headed over to lean against the edge of the bar. He kept his eyes mostly on the people wandering past, especially those women who seemed to saunter more than wander. They were worth a good second look, maybe even a third lingering one.

"How about most of the time, depending on the clientele."

"If every night was hooker lingerie night, I'd work for fucking free." He reached down and knocked back a quick drink of a glass he had stashed under the bar. Such a good employee.

...He grimaced. Jinx and Gabriel were being disgusting against the wall over there. "Unless it meant, uh, that."

Blaine loved the energy in Purgatory tonight. He enjoyed the place almost all of the time, but tonight was exciting and different. Kurt had once teased him for being 'Top 40' and there is some honesty in that observation, so working with a theme that forces him to look away from the modern popular music he considers 'safe' was fun for him is a great lesson. Then again, most of what Jinx has done with him since he started working here has been a challenging learning experience.

When Blaine is on stage he sticks with hits from one artist, focusing on David Bowie for now to give himself something to center on rather than jumping all over the decade with different artists. He starts off with Velvet Goldmine.

When he's not on stage he can be found around the House, helping the rest of staff take care of their customers.

Kurt couldn't help but laugh as Blaine took every opportunity to get on the stage, and watched with pride as his boyfriend tore every number apart. He lingered on the sidelines, occasionally working on a (non-alcoholic) drink as he nursed his own voice. He wanted to shout at the end of Blaine's latest performance, but preserved his voice and applauded loudly instead.

As soon as Blaine has the moment to see Kurt he finds his boyfriend at the side of the crowd and comes up to give him a hug. He's still at his work so it's just a short, sweet embrace.

"Are you enjoying the show?"

"Of course," replied Kurt, his hands sliding over Blaine's shoulders to hold onto them. "Come on, take a break. Have something to drink."

BARTENDING LIKE A BOSS | open to all~ paterelohim July 8 2011, 03:17:08 UTC
The performances were amazing, the girls entirely too hot to be conducive to a work environment, and the pace and energy of everything was, honestly, fucking fantastic. It was fast-paced work, but high energy and everyone was too happy to make his job difficult. Chuck even had some time between orders, once in a rare while, to take a minute and appreciate the performances.

Just then he was paused in the middle of making a drink, appreciating Joan fucking Jett bending over to pick up a straw. Whoever he was serving would have to wait a minute, because damn, that was definitely a childhood dream come true.

"Don't get distracted, Chuck." Lucifer was speaking softly; somehow his voice carried anyway, as if he and Chuck were in a private room.

Chuck jumped almost out of his skin, dropping the glass altogether and stepping on the broken glass in his flailing.

"Jesus, don't DO that!" Because, seriously. Being interrupted mid-boner by your son had to be the worst thing in the world.

"Don't stand here?"

Lucifer smirks at him, at the broken glass, at the woman.

"Shouldn't you give her your number?"

After the first set (which was fucking amazing, Gabriel walked upstage and threw an arm around the two lead singers- "Cherie" and Joan, who might as well be as good as the real thing, beyond the fact that the real Joan Jett would probably beat him for what he was doing- and just grinned at the audience. The incoming troll was strong with this one.

"Let's be honest, gang. How many of you doubted me? Hm? Show of hands? Anyone? C'mon. In a couple months, it'll be my one year anniversary in this little corner of Canada, and you all still doubt me. I mean, really. Lemme tell you, though- this one's gonna be one to tell the grandchildren. Joan?" He pulled his arm away from the illusion and saluted her, taking Jinx by the arm. "Rock their loafers off. I'll be in touch."

[OOC: Simultaneously open and for Jinx. You can catch him anywhere in the club.]

Jinx grinned from ear to ear. She was sweating from being up on stage and her hair was a tussled mess. Even though she was playing the part, she chose not to wear a wig tonight. As Gabriel spoke, she leaned over and kissed his cheek. It wasn't just a peck, either. Once her lips parted his skin, she smiled, closed her eyes, and rubbed her nose against his cheek. In her ridiculous shoes, they were even about the same height. Her arm was wrapped firmly back around him, not seeming to care too much about the affection she showed on stage.

The moment they left the stage, her eyes lit right up with excitement. Gabriel had probably only seen her like this, well, after a big show at Felton. She grabbed both his hands, bend in her knees, and gave him a big, wry smile. "How'd I do?"

Gabriel's response was to sweep her up in a dramatically intense kiss against the nearest wall, making sure to get his hands all over that costume in the process, very clearly having waited for this moment for the entire set. When he pulled away, panting, he just smirked. "I think Tokyo's having a flashback. Maybe you oughta make this a full time gig- but only if you wear the outfit the whole time. You kill in that little number." This was punctuated by another intense kiss that he pulled away from a little more quickly.

"Lucifer may be back in business, but we're still the hottest show this side of Toronto."

There was no way she was going to deny him that kiss, either. By the time he pulled away from that first, passionate make out session, one of her legs was wrapped around his waist. She was just so happy at that moment, biting her lip, grinning dumbly, proud. Damn right they were doing this right there in the club. It was theirs and they could do and had done everything they wanted all over every flat surface.

Really, she was about to say something in response to all that. You know, before his mouth silenced her. Now, both her legs were around him, and in that lingerie, it made Purgatory look like a much different kind of club.

"Don't make me ditch Joanie to drag you up to my dressing room." She tugged gently on his hair. "Mmm...remember the last time we had a party this big?"

The 70s hadn't produced many memorable Broadway hits, but Kurt had enough up his sleeve to unleash an impromptu performance at any time-- Such a thing was essential for auditions, after all. It was an incredible high, to be in front of a crowd, to paint the ceiling and walls with his voice and simultaneously let his heart drip over their heads. Once he finished he let the applause roll down his body to his feet, and he let out an exhilarated sigh.

Purgatory was something like a guilty pleasure. He knew it wasn't the sort of place in which he ought to get comfortable--he had a much better chance at the brand of stardom he craved through working at Felton--but he couldn't deny himself the rush that the nightclub provided.

Decked out in a sheer white top, a sequined scarf and leather pants, Kurt slid into one of the bar stools and kept his eyes on the stage.
